Great sandwiches - terrible store management. 4 customers in the store - 3 employees working - took 25 minutes for them to prepare 1 foot long sandwich. Only 1 employee making sandwiches, one person standing behind the cash register, and one walking around. Does management really believe this store is going to stay in business??? I won't go back.

The business has a very retro feeling right as you walk in. The business opened their doors in Lawrence Kansas in 1998 known as Yello Sub. It still has the feeling of a mom and pops shop with a hint of franchise appearance. I was a regular customer for over a year and always bought their Turkey Tuesday every Tuesday, but since they have raised the price of the Turkey Tuesday they are also putting less meat on their sandwiches. Most people would say the bulk of a sandwich is the bread. In this case the majority of the Turkey Tuesday is probably 70% Bread, 15% meat, 5% lettuce, 5% tomato, and the rest condiments... I won't be coming back for another Turkey Tuesday... I have to ask for extra salt and pepper because the sandwiches are too bland and I am told occasionally that they won't put it on and that I have to use the packets... I was not happy with the customer service. I also called in my sandwiches 10-15 minutes ahead of time on several occasions just to arrive and they hadn't even started it. They were not busy and only two people were sitting in the restaurant eating their food. The girls in the back were horsing around, snickering, and acting like I wasn't there. I have also had their sub called "The Experience". Signature Chicken, Bacon, Pepperoni, Pepper Jack, Cream Cheese, Jalapeños, Chipotle Sauce I will say that this is definitely one of their better subs and I ordered, but has the possibility leaving your stomach turning with the combined ingredients and spices. Cream cheese, jalapenos, and bacon combined are enough to shock your system if you aren't used to these all at once. I would recommend getting half of this sandwich as it is extremely rich and filling. Overall if you are looking to eat out and want something other than a generic Subway assembly line, and a different taste altogether, Planet Sub puts their own unique textures, tastes, and bread to use with a spin of a family tradition.

A transcendent sandwich experience, with a side of nostalgia for the original Yellow Sub in Lawrence. Hand-made, fresh-daily bread, fresh-sliced meats and veggies, house-made sauces, and no fear of trying something new makes this the sandwich place. Large Dagwood's Dream, add extra black olive, please.

I was 3rd person in the empty store. They had 1 person working and 1 person training. It took over 20 minutes to get my sandwich which was made wrong. To top it all off the lady making the sandwich was coughing as she was making the sandwiches and messing with her phone while wearing gloves. I threw it away....

Same story every time. This place is filthy. No clean tables to sit at. Floor is disgusting, kitchen looks disgusting. Ice tea dispenser missing the lid so everyone can cough and sneeze in it. I messaged corporate about how filthy the one on S. Greenwich was before it closed, but obviously that doesn't matter, because nothing has changed. Done with this place.
