We enjoyed the food, they had a nice variety. I got the pad thi noodles. A very big helping with a LOT of shrimp. Probably 17 good size shrimp. My wife and son both enjoyed their noodle dishes as well. And we all had half left over to bring home. Only 11-12 $ each, great buy! The entry way had a musty smell. And we found a hair in the sweet and sour sauce, so they gave us money off our bill. (That was kind of gross) but it didn't ruin the occasion, everything else made up for it. I don't think that was typical of Golden Chef. BTW the egg rolls were very good too.

Great place for Chinese food. Large portions and reasonable prices. Esther, the owner is so nice and will meet your dietary needs. Can order baked egg rolls which are awesome and less calories than the fried ones. Food is great, take out is great and the restaurant is easy to get to. Wait staff could be a bit quicker bringing tea to the table, refills, etc. All in all, a great place to eat!

Don't go here! BELIEVE recent low ratings/reviews.... Served us rotten seafood platter. Specifically the imitation crab meat in the dish. When we mentioned to our waitress, she brought it up to the owner. We showed her how each person at our table did not eat the crabmeat. Waitress said owner would not address or help mediate our issue. Also fried smelt had more than normal fishy taste and seemed it had been frozen for awhile. Main complaint was owner did not care about anything we had issues with. Not best way to entice new customer to come again. Additional comment: 1) Table was sticky. 2) What restaurant does not have spoons. They gave serving spoons that were larger than our mouths.

Their appetizers are a meal in themselves! egg rolls and shrimp rolls are hand-made and tasty! BBQ beef sticks are yummy! I'm very price-conscious on takeout, so was delighted with the large portions for the BBQ pork fried rice and chicken fried rice. I call ahead and everything is usually ready when I get there. Not a super-high-class lift-your-little-pinky place, but that's not what I like.

I have a mixed feeling about this place. Although price isn't bad, certain food was not so good. Dim Sum was brought by waiter within a minute from steam cart they had. The problem was dumplings they had in that cart probably sat there for a while so it was soggy and too watery. Fried rice I had was average and other dishes I tried also average. If you don't really care about great taste then it's good place for price.

Horrible. Ever since new owners took over this place is a dump. They put very little meat in order but plenty of grease and undercooked rice. They put so much spice that you cant eat this. And if you can you will not know if you are eating chicken or rat. They refused to refund when I told them that it is too spicy. Customer service is horrible and rude. When I asked to talk to manager he is NEVER there. Had two bad experiences there since Ms Ester sold the place. I am NEVER COMING BACK. Unless you want a lot of greasy undercooked rice and very little meat which is so spicy that you won't know if it is chicken, pigeon or a rat, I suggest you stay away from this place. Without Ester this place became horrid.

Ordered on GrubHub and my meal came with no fork/knife and the Mongolian beef was absolutely awful. It did not taste fresh and wasn’t at all like a traditional Mongolian beef dish. Egg rolls were fine. White rice was dry. Yuck.

Service was pretty good and food was good. I ordered mushu pork which was great and came to the table wrapped in appropriate pancakes. I thought that was great since several places around serve mushu with like tortillas. They do have family style round tables with lazy susans which I like but the plates are just slightly too large for them so you have to be very careful to turn it to avoid spilling water glasses. Overall a good experience and I'd go back again. Others in my party had orange chicken which I thought was good. Mongolian beef that was maybe light on the actual beef but the meat was tender with good flavor. I also had wonton soup which I thought was great.
