Walnut Grill

Came for lunch, a reservation for 13. We were seated upon arrival. Our waitress was Abby she was absolutely lovely as was Madison who assisted. We started our order and found out they only do separate checks up to ten people but they bent the rules for us which was appreciated because it would have been a nightmare. We had a little wait for our food which is to be expected with such a large order. Our food came out all together, (they now have little robots to carry out the food which was entertaining). I ordered the Wild Mushroom Chicken. What came out was two large chicken breasts lightly breaded, so tender you could cut with a fork, topped with a wild mushroom cream sauce. Phenomenal is an understatement when it comes to this meal! So much flavor in a dish! My sides were mashed potatoes with the skins, not stiff like a lot of other places, they were nice and creamy. My food was plated beautifully my pics are what we brought home. My hubby and friends ordered the Tuscan Chicken, pulled pork and Chicken and Brie Quesadillas. All raved about their food. The restaurant has ample parking, outdoor seating and a very comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant and facilities are very clean and they were very accommodating to a member of our party who was handicapped. I will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend this restaurant!

I hosted retirement dinner my experience was awesome! Erica and Jodie made sure every detail was spot on. They helped me plan the event with ever changing details ,they are very patient. Offered great advice to make everything seamless. The buffet fresh, hot and plenty of food nice variety. Drew and Amanda our servers at our beckon call, with smiles on the entire time. Loved the upbeat decor of our party room. All their hard work so appreciated.

Waited 2 hours for our meal. When it finally came we asked for medium well and got rare. Unless they were bringing something to the table they didn’t check to see if we needed anything and when it came it was terrible service. Piper the manager escalated the situation and made it worse without offering compensation and never providing. Don’t go here everyone from the management down does not understand food or customer service

I have been to Walnut Grill after making reservations well in advance twice for holidays (Thanksgiving 2021, and Father's Day 2022) and both times, we were seated but it took the waiter nearly 15 minutes to greet the table and take beverage requests. After placing food orders (many of the menu items for the holiday were not available) and both times it took nearly 45 minutes for the food to arrive after placing an order. The staff did not make a typical return to the table to check on everything and paying the check took an uncomfortable 20 minutes after we were clearly done with meals and waiting on the staff to return. I would like to say that I would give Walnut Grill another chance, but so far it seems that if the quality of service is that bad on a special occasion, I cannot imagine how much worse it could be when they do not have a number of reservations to plan to provide service for. The only thing I can say that was good about both times was that the food that we were able to order tasted good and we enjoyed it even though our preferred menu requests were sold out on Thanksgiving.

To boil it down: overpriced. The patio is nice especially with the outside bar in nice weather. The interior is also appealing. But the food is not worth the high prices most of the time, and everything takes long to arrive at your table. The service team are polite but ultimately you're paying too much for average food and long wait times.

We ordered the Easter Dinner to go and it was perfect! Everything was so delicious and the portions were generous. Easy to follow cooking instructions were included and if I had known Easter could be this easy, I would’ve ordered in years past (and definitely will again!). Thank you, Walnut Grill! You guys ROCK.

Food was atrocious. Loaded tots were burnt and tasted horrible and then we found a hair in it, but the worst was my wild mushroom chicken. 3 small pieces of chicken, and cold cream of mushroom soup on the top! It was cold and lumpy.. Meaning it was spooned out of a can of cream of mushroom soup and the cook wasn't even smart enough to put it in the microwave... It was terrible..... I sent both the tots and the main dish back. I eat out over 300 times a year, never have I ever had to send two dishes back in the same meal.

This place definitely needs some improvements. Better waitstaff would be great. I hate to use the word hopeless but that's exactly what they are. It was a Sunday morning when we went and we were sitting in a booth. There were dirty table napkins under the table. The drinking glasses were dirty and lastly the food was not good. One thing ordered was a Ruben sandwich and it was awful. Bread drenched in oil, the corned beef was chewy and full of fat. Fries were really good though so that is a plus but the rest of the food not so good. Bathrooms were clean which is great but 2 young staff members were sitting in the disabled toilet in the ladies room which was a little awkward. Not sure if this is where they sit for their break but when I went in again later, they were in there again with the door closed talking.
