Sunset Deli

This place is great!! I just visited for the 4th time and I’ve not been disappointed. The deli is at the West end of the Sunset Strip near The Roxy. The sandwich selection is good, with my favorite so far being the Firehouse, but even better is the great service. I work at a hotel down the street and have sent multiple guests and they always come back with glowing reviews with several saying great things about the food and service. The deli itself is a small mom and pop, so nothing fancy but everything else is great. I’d definitely recommend this place.

At first I wasn't sure about this place. It was new and one of their signature sandwiches was The Godmother. Now for anyone that loves sandwiches, when you hear The Godmother you think of Bay Cites. Stranger is that the parts are very similar and honestly this threw me off. But when it came down to it, this place is different and has it's own feel. With sandwiches named after the places in the neighborhood -- The Viper Room (roast beef in BBQ sauce), The Roxy ( cheese, avocado and veggies), The Key Club (turkey, bacon, avocado) and my favorite The Whiskey (triple layers of turkey, ham and roast beef with swiss cheese). Now that they are settled, they have other sandwiches aside from these and the standards. You should know that all of the meats are Boar's Head so know that you will be paying a bit more but it's worth it. Also the sizes of the sandwiches are substantial so be OK with a regular. Really -- don't hurt yourself trying to be a tough guy. Give this place a shot and you will not be disappointed. The crew there is like a family and treats you as one of their brood.
