Billy's Chowder House

Very good food! Everyone was pleased with their meals! Fish and chips were tasty and not greasy. Caesar salads overflowing off plates. Chicken fingers not greasy. Onion rings great! And, I like the fact that they have 2 sizes of lobster rolls! I got the smaller portion and it was just enough! Great service also!

Dinner was absolutely delicious, the stuffed mushrooms were probably seasoned and cooked well. Lobster stew was so good, and they didn’t hold back on the lobster in the cup! We added Caesar salads to our dinners and the dressing tasted homemade and had a good garlic zip to it that we like. The lobster dinners were very good right down to the baked potatoes. I will dream of that stew…..check this place out!

Had dinner at this restaurant for the first time during our vacation in Maine. Location: easy to find on Miles Rd. Food: absolutely delicious, fantastic and the cocktails are perfect too. Service: Staff very friendly and welcoming. We were seated in less time than the wait time we were given. Server: Our Server was Jannelle and she was fabulous, very friendly, efficient, friendly and polite. We dined at this restaurant again tonight (10/16/21), great restaurant. We decided to sit at the bar, enjoyed another delicious meal and cocktails, our Bartender Eileen was fabulous. This restaurant is a MUST if you’re in the Wells, ME area. Should we visit this state again on vacation, we will definitely stop by this restaurant again. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Got mussels for an appetizer and then ordered the lobster special which came with a choice of clam or corn chowder (pic is of the clam) and then a whole lobster and scallops. Stephanie our waitress ended up showing me how to clean my scallops for I've never had them this way before. She was absolutely amazing with service. The food was so fresh and delicious. Being from Wisconsin we don't have anything like this. Absolutely would come here again.

While exploring New England with my wife I ended up in Wells Beach and was looking for a good seafood restaurant. I found Billy Chowder House. Tried their famous chowder and it was delicious. Next, I had a small Haddock dish which was cooked to perfection. I really like they have options for certain dishes. My wife had a salmon and loved it. Their mains are served with options like fries, coleslaw or greens - good too! And lastly the service was great and staff is friendly.
