Spring Roll Express

The service was good and so was the food I just couldn't understand why the restaurants business was so slow. They do both dine in and take out orders and are a small business worth trying. We tried the vegetable spring rolls as well as the Mongolian beef and one of their chicken dishes. Next I will have to try their sushi menu.

My absolute favorite place for spring rolls. The Bahn Mi is delicious as well! Plus, the owners are so friendly. Always a great place for a quick, delicious bite to it. **I do recommend calling or checking their FB before heading their way. Since they are family-owned, they can sometimes be closed during their usual business hours. It can be disappointing but easily managed with a call!

Small mom & pop shop but oh so tasty! I used to come here during my lunch break at least once a week. Their spring rolls are my absolute favorite and they are much larger than the ones you would get from H‑E‑B as an example. I’ve tried all the spring rolls and a few other appetizers and it’s all so good!!! I’m SO glad they didn’t shut down because of covid!

UPDATE Second visit. Sandwich was a home run. Grilled chicken spring rolls made my taste buds dance and the crab puffs rocked my world. EXCELLENT FOOD. Staff are awesome and crazy friendly. Added a picture rod the menu This place is a gem. Our friend told us about it after we passed by it over and over, and it came up in conversation. We finally got a chance to give it a try and I hate we waited so long. The Banh Mi was crazy good. The Shrimp Spring Rolls were made perfect for us. Granted I’m not a Shrimp spring roll fan, I prefer grilled chicken, these were really good and the best shrimp spring rolls I’ve had anywhere. (Individually grilled shrimp and great size too). My wife had the pork vermicelli and she absolutely enjoyed her meal. Vietnamese coffee was pretty good too so get one of those. We used to live in Westchase district and frequented many Vietnamese locations. Lee’s, Le Viet, Cali Sandwich, even others around here such as Pho Central (who’s Pho is the best anywhere), and Pho 21.... many more. They’re all good don’t get me wrong, but hands down Spring Roll Express has the best the Banh Mi I’ve had, and the amount of meat it had rivals other locations sandwiches, even after adding Extra Meat to them! Give this small hidden gem a chance. You won’t regret it.

Feb 3 update- after being closed for a bit spring roll reopened again today and is JUST AS GOOD AS BEFORE. I’m so happy they reopened, their meals are some of my favorite comfort food in the area! Oh spring roll express. So good. I literally can’t recommend this place enough. Their specials are ALWAYS phenomenal, their recurring specials of pork fries is such a gastronomic treat with a barrage of flavors and textures, I just love this spot more every time I try something new. This time I’ve had sriracha lime shrimp which was fried, spicy, sweet and somehow not heavy. Such a treat! We tried the veggie stir fry noodles for my son which he enjoyed but made a bit of a mess.. as he does. Kung pao chicken was a new one from the special menu, I think it beat any other Chinese restaurant in the area. The chef just has magic skills. I asked them when they’d be making pad Thai again, turns out he’s going to make his own noodles to have more control over the quality. That is some dedication!!! We have the jalapeño chicken a couple times again which is always a crowd pleaser. Special shout out to Crystal who knows what I’m going to order as soon as she hears my voice, we’ve known her since before we were parents and now we have two kids and she’s always friendly and engaging but without lingering or seeming superficial, just a genuine interest in her customers. Spring roll- keep innovating with the specials and being the delightful place you are!

Great service and food. My coworker is a regular and he raved about it so much I had to try it. The spring rolls were bigger than most places. I had the pork. Three come in an order and you can mix and match. The peanut sauce they make is excellent as well. I also had the asian tacos. Simple but delicious.

Wow! This place is rated nicely, but it never seems to be as busy as it should be. The food is amazing and always fresh. I've been here 20 plus times and never had a bad experience. Crystal, the girl at the counter is nice and friendly. They should have a line out the door. The grilled pork sandwich, loaded fries, and noodle bowls are my favorite.
