Tim Hortons

As someone who has lived in Canada 🇨🇦 , I worried the new English equivalent to Tim Hortons wouldn't match up to it's Canadian counterpart. (As so many imports don't). However, I was wrong. I had the famous White Hot Chocolate that tasted exactly as I remembered it and unlike any other I have had here in the UK. The Timbits were amazing, especially the Reindeer noses. I also tasted the coffee which is as fabulous as Tim Hortons ever was. My daughter had a smoothie that she loved and my other daughter had an iced coffee which she liked. I'm eager to go back and try the hot food. I hope they also bring over the Hot Apple Cider at Christmastime, similar to the Canadian stores but I can't fault the service we received.

Highly disappointed, turned up hoping yo order some food only to get turned away as its card payments only. Edited 18/9/21 Having now been down to try it, the pancakes seem to have been thrown together from opposite ends of the kitchen, the maple and white chocolate sauce seems to have been completely forgotten about. Classic stack is bone dry, and the advertised syrup has been completely left out. On the upside, wedges are your standard fare, and mango and passion fruit cooler is nice enough. Safe to say I won't be returning, very disappointing first impression.

Stopped off on a long car journey for some lunch as an alternative to McDonald's. My Wife and I had Chicken burger meals, which were nice, and my son had the chicken wrap which he said was comparable to the aforementioned. The doughnuts are what we really went for, and the box of 6 is great value compared to the individual ones. It was over £30 for what would have cost £20 at McDonald's or KFC, and I can't see the extra value. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

While slightly better than normal "fast food" experiences the fare offered was standard and available elsewhere. Restaurant was relatively newly opened so was surprised when we sat at a table to wait to discover the table edging peeling back a good 2 foot. Staff friendly and helpful, left after burger and coffee thinking "meh". Not great, not bad just another average option.

Nice that we have one in the north. I’m Canadian so I grew up eating Tim Horton's most days. I made the trip out it was good to see a line out the door. Waited like 15-20 minutes. Not bad considering. Lots of staff working to deal with the influx of people. Zero mask wearers in store The doughnuts were pre-packed to save time, I get it, the Tim bits were great but the mixed doughnuts were stale and lacked that Tim Hortons kick that the shop has and I fear that’s the impression that people will get. The iced coffee was fantastic. I got like 10 items and the staff member didn’t give me a bag. Would go if I was nearby but wouldn’t make the trip out for a while. I’m about 40 minutes away. A bit close to Sunderland for my liking

I arrived this morning bright and early for opening, it was a super smooth experience considering the volume of customers so early in the morning, really well thought out and plenty of staff. Great offers available as well, free samples for those waiting in cars and outside. The staff were lovely and chatty too! Can't wait to visit again

The worst Milkshakes ever. Extremely watery and full of ice crystals. The strawberry one is disgusting, the maple one has a lovely taste, but the texture and consistency is wrong. The chicken and bacon meal was a let down. The bacon was 90% fat and tiny. I literally mean paper thin, it might aswell have not been in the burger. Brioche bun was very stale and the wedges just bog standard little wedges from a freezer. The baconaise and chipotle sauces were quite bland too. So much so, I didn't know which was which. Donuts. Odd one was nice, most were very dry and stale. I did hear the woman saying it was dead yesterday (after the week before having 12 hour ques on a Saturday). Guessing they had a load of left overs as they were definately not fresh. The cruller was vile. It also looked like it had possibly been dropped. It was very eggy! Classic glaze was even worse. So dry and has that cheap lemon flavour to the glaze. The apple fritter though was absolutely divine (the only reason this isnt a 1*). Im guessing the hype will die off very quickly. Staff were friendly, but I was charged for a dozen glazed instead of 1. Luckily I noticed on my receipt and went back for a refund.
