This place is the real deal! The Ethiopian food was the best I’ve ever had. Not only was the food delicious but it was an experience to eat it because you get to use your hands to eat the food which is super fun! The music was nice and the bathroom was super clean! Really beautiful inside and outside

The best authentic Ethiopian food in the city! Small, quiet, & vibrant restaurant owned by a lovely Ethiopian woman! I usually start my meal with the lentil soup! I love love love the lentil soup; following the soup I order the veggie platter as well as the lamb tibs to share & enjoy with the table! The lamb tibs are cooked to perfection and the veggie platter is filled with clean eats! I wash down this delicious fulfilling meal with the Ethiopian spiced hot tea.... yummy 😋

The BEST Ethiopian food I've ever had. Everything here is super fresh and flavorful and the setting is nice and bright. Get the veggie sampler and the tibs if you are sharing and feel like one meat dish.

Lovely Ethiopian cuisine. Menu is limited but all choices are excellent. Casual and cozy place to eat. We had the vegetarian platter and it was very tasty with each dish being unique. The chicken Tibs was awesome with the injera. The food was so spicy that we loved it and found it quite similar to the Indian cuisine. Not recommended for kids as they found it too spicy even though the waitress tried to accommodate them by giving them crayons and coloring pictures. Overall a decent place for a some comfort spicy food.

Filling, economical and great service. Surprisingly quiet for a weeknight at 7pm. A cute, humble restaurant north of Dupont Circle. Highly recommend.

The food here is hands down the best Ethiopian in the city. That being said it’s a one (wo)man shop and it takes a while to get your food. So come here and be patient. The music is a great mix of Ethiopian jazz and funk. The ambiance is friendly and helpful and it’s BYOB. The veggie combo with the beef in chickpea sauce is more than enough for two people. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

Really terrific Ethiopian food. Split the veggie combo, a shrimp dish, and a chicken dish between three of us and left very satisfied. Great flavors, great injera.

Great Ethiopian food! I came by myself around 6 pm in Wednesday night and it was quiet. I have been craving for Ethiopian food for a while. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. She helped me order Gored Gored with two kinds of veggies and salad. The portion was so big I thought it's for two or three people. It took 10 minutes and everything was freshly prepared. I had no problem finishing the veggies. Seasoned well. Salad is fresh and I was able to pick out jalapeño before putting it in my mouth. The meat was cooked about medium and medium spicy. Just right for me. Overall, I am very pleased with everything. Highly recommended.

This was hands down my best Ethiopian food experience. Before coming here I was never really excited for getting Ethiopian and would often just indulge my friends and go along, but after Ababa I am always stoked to go. Great food, great services, great location. Would recommend anyone give it a try, even if they never really liked Ethiopian before.
