I can't speak to the true products but I can say that their customer service and prices are wonderful. I can't wait to come back and actually enjoy lunch and support this business! In the midst of COVID they are selling incredibly reasonably priced flour to us home bakers who can't find any flour in stores. Thank you Bread Line for helping me stay sane while we are staying at home and for sharing with your local community!

Delicious breakfast sandwich. Had a piadine with egg, bacon, and arugula. It’s so ironic that this place is pretty quiet right now… Go and support these guys. They make amazing sandwiches and there is no “line” for now.

I happened to be in the neighborhood where Bread Line is and stopped in for lunch today. I ordered the combo of gazpacho (the special today) and fries. The soup tasted of the most amazingly ripe tomatoes - the kind I dream about finding at the farmer's market, but usually don't. It was the perfect blend of vegetables and seasoning. What can I say about the fries? Freshly cut and fried, skins still on, amazing. A guilty pleasure. Finally, they throw in a ciabatta roll with the soup. I told myself I wouldn't eat that after the huge order of fries, but after tasting it I couldn't leave a bite uneaten. Truly fantastic experience and I'll be back.

With a name like Bread Line you expect the bread to be the star. Well, this place does not disappoint. The bread is fresh and excellent and the sandwich makings are just as good. I particularly enjoy the Cuban when they have it. With all the great fixings for sandwiches it is not hard to imagine that the bread line does great salads. What is a surprise is how good their fries are. Also, if your around for breakfast their French toast is something to be craved. Lines can look long but move fast.

Delicious sour dough breads, best bought to take home. Sandwiches are made while you wait and are substantial and well-flavored. Good salads and coffee to round out an excellent location for lunch downtown

My favorite Wednesday lunch is the lamb piadine. Honestly i love everything they make specifically the fresh made breads make all the difference. The salads, soups, anything made wrapped with a piadine, salmon piadine, the fries, sausage piadine, veggies piadine. There maybe a long line during around noon but they are quick and in no time you are served. The salad line is separate and the tall dude taking orders may even ask you what you want to eat from 20 feet no kidding.

Used to be my favorite lunch spot when I worked nearby. Despite long lines, service is quick. Soup and sandwiches are best bets here - salads are good too, but only if you like that day's selection. Spicy chicken sandwich and chicken peanut soup are my favorites.

I have dreams about the ham and cheese with butter from here. There isn't a more perfect sandwich. (The other sandwiches here are excellent too. Get the quesadilla if it's offered. Same with the tomato basil soup) Affordable. Gets busy at lunch. Place your order ahead. Get the ham and cheese.

Had lunch with my wife after Burning man at the Renwick. Everything was fine and quick even though it was lunch rush hour. We each had soup and a sandwich which was too mush. But, happy to say we soldiered on and finished. Walked it off, no dinner for us.

Really great bread with a solid chew and a pretty good variety of sandwich options with a few soups thrown in for good measure. I wish there were a few more sandwich options, but they are great at everything they do--and at a reasonable price. You can also buy the loaves and baguettes of bread for takeout.

Awesome place for a quick lunch. The line during the lunch rush is long, but it moves fast. I love the chicken sate soup on Tuesdays and they have some of the best french fries.

While the soups and salads are fantastic, I've always been pleased with how friendly the staff is. If your looking for an afternoon treat the adult Oreo (technically a chocolate/marscopone sandwich) can't be beat.

This is a gourmet sandwich shop. Their sandwiches are large and bread is baked fresh every day. I almost always go for the daily special sandwiches like the Cuban...ham, roast pork and swiss cheese on fresh ciabatta bread. Or they have an excellent fried fish sandwich on Friday. They offer different soups each day. They have an amazing array of salad choices.

The breads, pastries and cookies are the best in town. The sandwiches, soups and salads are ALWAYS fresh and delicious. For those who complain about the prices, there is a McDonalds around the corner. I live near the old Walter Reed complex, yet I and my wheelchair are glad to trek to Bread Line for great food.
