Breakers Kitchen & Tap

Breakers is one of those places you drive by and never think about stopping in for lunch why I don't know. Me and my son decide to stop because we were looking for a French dip and we saw they had a prime rib sandwich. I originally thought it was going to be sliced like a roast beef but when I got the sandwich I was extremely surprised to find it was a slice of steak beautifully cooked and tender on a bun. I can truly say if they stuck that on a plate with mashed potatoes and a vegetable they can probably sell that thing for like 20-25 dollars. It was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try their burgers. I will definitely update this review after I go back again but I'm telling you if you're ever in the area stop by and get the prime rib sandwich.

It's definitely a fun place. The food is better than expected for the venue. The venue is cavernous, but looks a little bit like leftovers from a cafeteria. The table bench I was sitting on was poking me in the butt. The calamari was a little miniscule and lots of bread, but the burger was magnificent. The scallops were generous and tasty, but a little soggy cooked in butter and garlic. Overall the service was fantastic, beer selection good, and food better than expected. Atmosphere? Very cozy and homey but certainly not what you'd expect in a fine dining establishment. And prices were more fine dining establishment level.

My husband and I came for an early dinner to escape the dinner rush crowd. Compliments to the Chef! We both enjoyed our dinners. My husband had a french onion soup and for main course, the Ribeye with the rosemary butter and it was cooked perfectly. I had the crab cakes and they were absolutely delicious. Now, not everyone raves about broccoli, but we both had a side of broccoli and it was sauteed in garlic, and we both thought it was fantastic. Only item my husband was bummed out about was they dint have Mozzarella Sticks on the appetizer menu. No matter where we go my husband has the french onion soup and an order of mozzarella sticks. We put in our suggestion and hope it makes the menu. Our waitress Maddie, as well as everyone else were very pleasant. We will be back!

Have tried this place multiple times, each time is the same thing. Food is average, service is horrible. Ordered pickup, was told 20 minutes. A hour later food is still not ready. Was told kitchen got busy, restaurant only has 6 tables full out of over 15 tables. Overheard they said only 2 servers on for the night, while they have a valentines day special going on. Love supporting local businesses, but I need to learn my lesson. Only saving grace is the owners are very friendly and do their best to make up for the service mistakes. Have to update my review. Valentines day special and they run out of deserts for the special. The cupcakes they want you to share looks like a mini cupcake from shoprite.

Tuesday 4/5/2022 was my first time at Breakers. I was there to assist in a fundraising effort. We decided to grab a bite to eat. Well I was pleasantly surprised. The soup I ordered was EXCELLENT. NE Clam Chowder. And the Blackened Steak bites were perfect with the homemade dipping sauce. Yum! Can't wait to return. The Brewery attached was an added bonus.

We just moved to the area and was excited to try a new local restaurant, this place was disgusting, tables were sticky. Once we received our appetizers we were swarmed with flies that didnt leave the entire time we were sat. Then My boyfriend received an extremely undercooked burger and i had a HAIR in my risotto. Waitress never asked how we were doing or if everything turned out okay, and so we tried to enjoy ourselves given the situation and i wanted a refill of my beer because my boyfriends had a full one and she never stopped by again for me to ask so he drank the beer alone while i watched. Terrible first experience and definitely the last.
