Fancy That

Had a lovely tea experience at Fancy That this weekend with my mom and sister. This is our second time visiting and we are sure there will be many more enjoyable visits here in the future. We were kindly treated by the “Tea Guy” himself and everything was delicious (try the Tower Of London tea) and the scones were to die for.

It is wonderful! We enjoyed it immensely! The tea and food were great and presented in a lovely fashion. The service was fantastic! The couple was very nice and helpful! The way the decorations are done there are very elegant. I had a hard time not looking at everything. Reservations are required ahead of time. I loved they didn't have a dress code, as some places do. If you are interested in take out, instead, please order ahead. You can get a lot, of information, on their website about everything and any questions, they are very good at answering. In, my opinion, you won't be disappointed. We are so looking forward, to our next afternoon tea, here. We already booked

This is exactly what you want when going on an adventure. It's also a great place just to sit and visit, even good for a meeting because the rooms are private. I can't say enough good things about the décor, so unique and well done. The tea was fragrant and delicious, served with sandwiches, and petite deserts. Wonderful. I was truly amazed there wasn't an speck of dust. The owners were welcoming and it was a joy to be there.

Date of Experience: 08/29/2021 Rating: 4.5 Stars. A friend and I came across Fancy That on Facebook and decided to go because we both love tea. The location was very easy to get to and I was happy that they have their own parking. Our reservation was at 10:30 and they seated us in the “Yellow” room immediately. I was pleasantly surprised and excited that there was so much pink, as it is one of my favorite colors. The rooms were beautiful, and all the decor was lovely. Very clean, as well. Hospitality was excellent. The owner is very kind, friendly and informative. We were also very happy that she was willing to take a photo of us together to capture the experience. I got the “Mocha Chocolat” tea which is: black tea, coffee beans, chocolate and white chocolate bits and maple sugar. It was by far one of the best teas I’ve had and enjoyed it so much I bought it. The pastries, sandwiches, scones and more was delicious! Everything that we ate was incredible. You are able to purchase teas and other things like Clotted Cream-which is delicious. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for the experience and TEA especially!! It was a lovely place to have a “Girls Day”. Age Restriction: I’m a 30 year old women and I felt scared I would break something. I completely agree with the age limit of I believe 12+ because there is a lot of China and glass and things that are delicate that can break. It was also enjoyable to have a place to get away from younger children to enjoy a tea, food and conversation. The only reason I gave the rating of 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars is just because the pricing is a little more. Between two people it was $66.00 with tax. But you are paying for what you get. Regardless of that, we will be back no matter what.

Fancy That is a very special place. While I've been to a half a dozen tea houses over the years. Fancy That is the ONLY one I keep returning to. I have been visiting this tea house for about 8 years now and have now made it a monthly ritual. I consider Fancy That the gold standard that I measure all other afternoon tea experiences against. Not only are the food and tea top rate, the atmosphere is so enjoyable. The shop itself is very fascinating. The decor and offerings are constantly changing. You must try some of their signature teas. I love Lady Violet. Lastly, Sarah and Brad are the most wonderful and attentive hosts. I simply can't wait for my next visit!
