Overview: Service was terrible and slow, food came out burnt and ill prepared, ingredients felt cheap and lacking in substance. After we sat down, we waited 20 minutes for our orders to be taken. We waited another 20 minutes for the food to come out. The food did not come out together, but rather each order was placed at our table one at a time. Staff did not refill water or check in on us even once. I ordered the grilled sliced pork with rice. The pork was extremely burnt. Whatever semblance of flavor that the grilled pork was supposed to have was overwhelmed by a miasma of burnt charcoal flavor, almost as if I was sucking on pure carbon. But the insult to the name of Vietnamese food did not stop there. The "salad" that was presented on my plate was merely a literal chunk of iceberg lettuce that was ill prepared. Under the lettuce were questionable and large slices of raw tomatoes. The rice grains are low quality and cheap rice, and were undercooked. The only redeeming feature of the rice combo plate were the pickled carrots and radish sprinkled on top of the "salad", but that's not saying much as they were probably store bought. My partner's pho noodle soup did not fare much better. The broth taste was mediocre at best, the beef slices were cut thick, the onions were raw red onions instead of traditional sweet white/yellow onions. If I could give zero or negative stars on this review system, I would. See photos attached for evidence. (The yellow sauce pictured given with the pork plate ended up with countless flakes of burnt meat, that just goes to show exactly how burnt my food was). Avoid this restaurant if you value and respect food.

It's hard to find an amazing pho broth in the 680 corridor. This place has a really good one. My other go-to are the vegetarian spring rolls. The ones here are good. What sells me over some other places is the efficiency and friendliness of the staff as well as the reliability of the food. You'll also never have to wait for a seat, the place is huge. That being said, its a huge room with what looks like haphazardly put together ambiance. I wouldn't bring a date here, but if you've been in a committed relationship for a while, are ordering to go, or flying solo...the broth and other menu items are solid and worth the stop. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, Saigon Vietnamese Bistro has permanently closed in this location due to a lease dispute. It is alleged that the landlord was trying to double their rent. They are hoping to find a new location. Saigon Vietnamese Bistro has wonderful authentic food. Love their fresh spring rolls, pho (especially the vegetarian, and rice dishes are spot on and delicious. Service is attentive. My best friend and I have lunch here and are able to get in, out and back to work on time. The parking lot is public with meters. This is a hidden gem in Walnut Creek worth your time. Prices are fair and the is food is fabulous.

Kyle makes this place tick. He made me feel welcome, taken care of, and eager to return. The food is always good. Standard Vietnamese fare at a great price, especially for Walnut Creek. Definitely a must visit for lunch or dinner.

Pretty bad strip mall restaurant. The smoothies made both my wife and I nauseated. Pho is adequate, certainly not great. I ordered a stir fry dish to take home for lunch and it was awful - straight to the trash. High chair pretty clearly has never been cleaned.

11/24/14 I visited Pho Saigon (now called Saigon Vietnamese Bistro) right when they opened, but haven't returned since then - only because I have a different Pho noodle place walking distance to my office, so I often visit there instead out of convenience. I met a friend for lunch at Saigon on a Friday afternoon and struggled to find parking in their lot. I circled a couple of times before finding a spot and was given a warm, friendly greeting by the host. Much friendlier than my usual place. I ordered a large bowl of seafood soup ($8.75) - I initially said I wanted shrimp only, but then decided to not be difficult. I wish I had stuck with my custom order, since my large soup only ended up having three small shrimp in it. It was really good though. The fish cake was unlike the thin, floppy ones I'm used to - it was delicious! There was some squid also, but the majority of the seafood was limp, imitation crab pieces floating around, most of which I pulled out. My friend had chicken chow mein ($9.25) that also looked good. It was a lot of food and we both had a lot left-over. Good thing I brought two to-go containers along! Service was great until the end. My one hour lunch was near over: I had 10 minutes left and still had to fight the downtown Walnut Creek traffic to get back to my office 3 miles away on time. Where was our check? Finally a girl (not our server) brought it to our table, I paid, and we left. I think I enjoyed the soup broth more here than at my usual spot, but the overall experience was a little bit less enjoyable. And only 3 shrimp in a large soup is a little sad. Even still, you can't beat a yummy lunch for two in downtown Walnut Creek for under $20! I'd return! Note: the receipt still has their former name "Pho Saigon Noodle" - same owners perhaps?

Came right after work with my co-worker. So we were dusty and we were greeted with "welcome, how can we help you boss". it gets better. After being seated I asked if I can get a soda cup full of water. Replys:No problem boss. Comes back out with a pitcher of water. 👌 We ordered Number ones of pho. Man! I'm definitely going back to that spot. Plus it was cheap. Great service, Great vibe, Great food, it was a good night 😃

I come here exclusively for the pho, number 4 to be exact. I think their broth is one of the tastiest I've had in the area. Their service is great, rarely have to ask for refills of drinks, and one of the guy's there, probably owner or manager or something (I say that because he's let his workers go when it closed and he stayed late to close up), hes a super nice guy. I'm sorry that I dont know his name but hes always welcoming when hes there, very friendly and nice. I will definitely return and do recommend. Cant speak for any other dishes because I'm hooked on their pho and that's all I want when I'm there.
