Been here from luskville trails by word of mouth.
Polite and patient staff.
Authentic look and taste.
Prices are reasonable.
Tuna sandwich is really good. Apart from that we got...
Chocolate chip cookie
Cranberry lime pie
Pizza slice
Chocolate apricot pudding
You can say they are house made. Not disappointed

This is one of my favourite places. They’re local and everything the have comes from their farm. I’ve been coming here every week for over 5 years and they don’t disappoint. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A must see if in Wakefield. Great homemade dishes for takeaway. The wide assortment of
baked deserts are sold in individual portions and are devine

This bakery has it all! So many loafs, deserts, cakes for special occasions and treats. There are only a few places to sit and the reason I didn’t give it 5* is because it was a little messy inside and it felt like clutter. Would still return!

Lovely bakery in Wakefield! Really enjoyed our visit and the recommendations that were provided to us when I asked for a nice loaf of bread to try. Since we had been meaning to try this place for a while, we picked up a lot of yummy treats. Highly recommend their chocolate croissants, almond croissants and butter tarts. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely the go-to place for my bread. They have a sourdough, black olive and chili pepper loaf as well as an Italian sourdough which are spectacular. I once had potato dinner bun that was one of the best things that I have put in my mouth. They also baked a gluten free birthday cake on request. This should be a must-stop for everyone passing through or living in the area.

Never disappoints.
Love the sausage rolls.
When I was a ski patrol, we would stop and buy hot bread and a 1/4 pound of butter. Slit the bread, insert butter, let it melt and soak in then eat the whole thing among 3 or 4 of us... We did not do that this time.

I hate bread.
But this place... It's like Jesus himself makes bread here and feeds my poor soul, reinvigorating me with joie de vivre.
This place is a regular highlight in my visits to Wakefield.
When I came back from Paris and sought baked goods here that would compare to the bakeries there, I began to despair after trying 5-6 different places in Ottawa. Nothing came close, however this bakery surpassed many of the places I tried in Paris.
Most recently I had the chocolate croissant, the sausage roll, a brisket sandwich, a croissant BLT, and a double espresso. They were all incredible. The soft flakeyness of their croissants are unbeatable! I still have some other goodies to try so maybe I'll add more photos and words later.
One thing that saddens me a little is that I wasn't able to try their butter tarts again as I was informed they are short on staff. Those butter tarts are the best I've ever had, with a crust so deliciously flakey you might think it was a croissant. Hopefully I can have one on my next visit.
Thank you Boulangerie Wakefield!
