Casa Ole

It's been awhile since we ate at Casa Ole but wanted to go as the food and service are usually great. However, on the day we went, there were only two servers and one of them were being trained and didn't really do anything except observe. There were only two other customers. It took nearly ten minutes to be seated. After we were seated we ordered our drinks and got those fast. When they finally took our order after another ten minutes, a couple came in and were seated right by us. They got their food and drinks way before we did. We didn't complain as we were just talking. Food finally comes out after another twenty minutes but it shocked me as the portions were really small compared to the past. We always get the same thing so I was surprised but hungry so I ate it. I did mention it to the waitress who was really nice and she asked me if I wanted more but she said it would cost extra. I said no and we both just ate what we were given. Since we always get the same thing, we didn't even look at the menu. The total came to nearly $40.00, I kid you not. We had no alcohol and no appetizers. I felt this was really ridiculous for the amount of portions we were given. I know the waitress has no control over the prices. I also know that they only make $2.13 per hour plus rely on tips. I felt really bad for her as I didn't have much more cash on me so I left what I could which was only around $3.00 which was embarrassing. The ticket suggested we tip a minimum of 18% for two people- WOW! We were in a hurry as we had to go out of town so I didn't have time to ask for a manager. I didn't see one anywhere anyway. I am not one to complain usually but my phone just asked me to post a review for my experience so this is it. Not sure that we will go back. Maybe this was just a bad day and time but i am just being honest. Usually there are quite a few people eating there but on this day the parking lot was almost empty. They closed the other one across town and now it makes me wonder why. I wonder if I'll get any kind of feedback. Again, I'm just being honest!

Food is always great and the service was great! I couldn’t enjoy my meal because it was so HOT in there! Casa Ole please do better and take care of your employees and your guest! I couldn’t even enjoy my meal and decided to take it to go and leave! I felt so bad for the workers, they were dripping in sweat and just doing their absolute best to get through each table. Observing the servers giving other employees frozen popsicles to cool off. Don’t blame them, I myself wanted one! Seen the managers helping the employees and them coming together to work together through this heat was very surprising, I’m speech less. Casa ole fix the AC unit ! For your staff and guest! You are losing business!!

I was going to eat with my team, and we choose Casa Ole’. I ordered and my food and it hadn’t arrived. I arrived at the restaurant at 6pm and it was 7:30. My teammates got there food before me even though I ordered 30 minutes before them. The waiter was trying her hardest to keep track with the food, while the other 2 ladies were doing absolutely nothing. (The manager and a employee)

We have been in the Casa Ole Bellmead restaurant several times and the AC is not working. It’s really really hot and it’s terrible customer care. The staff is working hard and are great. Corporate really needs to get the AC repaired ASAP. Not only to help your customers but the staff and cooks that are keeping the doors open. Let’s go corporate keep your staff cool.
