U-swirl

I had the opportunity to stop in at U-Swirl today on our travels through Waco. It was a very pleasant surprise! It’s a large store, but it is very clean and the topping bar was full of delicious looking toppings. The NSA chocolate was so yummy! The music playing was soft but enjoyable to listen to. Thank you for such a great experience today!!

- the cookies and creme and chocolate have zero flavor. I worked at a yogurt shop for 5 years. They arent mixing the yogurt properly. - the condiments are stale. - multiple machines were broken. - the hide the price per ounce from you (talk about a lack of transparency) ended up paying over $10 for a little cup. - they refuse to give samples (even though covid is long over). - won't be coming back here

First off I might be a bit biased as I'm not really a dessert kind of person. Went with my wife and son, I thought it was kind of pricey. Just for myself and son it was a bit over $17. I was suprised there was no military discount. Ok on to the positive observations. Nice clean store to include bathroom, staff was friendly, a huge selection of frozen yogurts sorbet etc, so many toppings available that it was hard to choose from. I do see myself coming back occasionally when I come into Waco.

$10 for a fairly full container of froyo, which is considerably higher than the shops in my regular rotation in north Dallas. However, they had a lot of flavors that I've never tried before and the toppings bar had more variety than I've seen at other shops. The blueberry boba and the confetti sprinkles gestalted with the yogurt in a surprisingly tasty way. Worth the price premium.

Yogurt is always good and so are the toppings we’ve been coming here a lot. Also smells and looks clean. BUT….we were just there Tuesday and there new “holiday” hours state they close at 10pm…at 9PM Tuesday November 30 the two girls working asked two groups of women to leave (they were sitting at the tables) so they could close and the women were clearly upset by this as they are supposed to be open until 10 and they turned the lights off locked the doors as soon as the women walked out. Still it’s only 9pm and it states they are open until 10. One of the workers also clearly doesn’t enjoy being there and has an attitude. Most of the machines were either off or didn’t have any flavors in them this time. They don’t want you touching the topping handles to reduce germ spread but your already touching the yogurt handles along with everyone else so what does it matter anyways (doesn’t make sense). Also there was a man in front of us and he pushed the nozzle down to get hot fudge in his cup and the fudge sprayed all over his shirt and sleeves everywhere. The worker just stared at him as if it didn’t happen and did nothing to offer to help him. She just kept asking for payment and his wife kept asking for napkins and trying to get it off because it was hot and burned. Kinda disappointed with the employees this time as this was our first not so great experience.
