I love this restaurant, the salads are fresh, the food and desserts are usually very good. The only downside is that they don't have much for vegetarians, and they use a lot of lard. I hear the meat is good though, and they have a menu as well as a buffet. Lots of really good pie, and a wonder staff. Highly recommend

We went to this restaurant yesterday for lunch. The service was okay, but the food was very bland and a little expensive. Menu choices were very limited, so we went for the buffet. At $11.50, it was very disappointing. The fried chicken was moist, but coating lacked seasoning and was soggy. The hamburger steak, as they called it, was inedible. It had the consistency of canned dog food and had a soured taste to it. I was afraid to swallow it, so I spit it back out onto my fork. I left there paying $11.50 for a salad(with no onions to be found), mashed potatoes with gravy, and a piece of soggy fried chicken. I’ve been to other restaurants operated by Mennonites, and they had delicious food. This one, I will never return and highly recommend you don’t eat here.

They advertise to be opened until 3. We got there a little after 2. We had barely gotten our salad when they pulled everything off the salad bar. I asked the waitress why they were pulling the salad bar and she said "well, you're done anyway." I said how do you know? She said they always pull the salad bar at 2:30. I told her then they should advertise they're opened until 2:30 but I paid for buffet until 3, not 2:30. 10 minutes later while someone was dishing up food they were pulling the food bar. I told the waitress who was anxious to get my plates that if they advertised to be opened until 3 the food should be available until 3. I told her how rude it was chasing off the customer instead of dining relaxed. She never returned to my table. The desserts were inedible. The casseroles looked like they should have been removed a couple of hours before. Disappointing all around. Never will I return.

Restaurant has easy access off main highway and is easy to see. It is wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair seating. The restaurant is an all you can eat buffet with homemade items. They feature homemade pies that are wonderful and ice cream if you want it with your pie or seperate. Quick service and nice atmosphere. I go through this area every 6 months and always stop. A good variety of items on the buffet.

This is the best food at the lake. You won't find anything fancy like shrimp or lobster, just home-cooked entrees and sides, with tons of delicious desserts to boot. I highly recommend the buffet your first time in, just to get a taste of everything and because they have a dessert table that even fills up my teenage boys, who are like bottomless pits. Lots of fried chicken, roasts, country style green beans, noodles, stuffing, and of course brown gravy. They have a salad bar with lots of fresh options. You can order off the menu too, but with everything being so delicious, I just like to pick at a tiny bite of each thing.
