One of the best meals Ginger Sesame Chicken salad - brilliant, fresh and wonderful combination of flavors. The salad was light and had a tangy dressing - just great. Combined well with Whistler brew. Very friendly service.

I've walked by Abode several times when I'm in town and finally had the opportunity to brunch there. We caught the tail end of brunch time on a sunny Saturday morning. The place wasn't overly busy so it was quiet enough to have a conversation at a booth with my friend. I had the slow roasted pork hash and my friend got the breakfast burrito which came with a hearty portion of potatoes. My pulled pork hash was delicious and I appreciated the yummy crispy potatoes it came with. I will note it was a bit too saucy for my liking though. I'm glad I finally got to try this place out. Perhaps I'll come back next time for dinner.

Had their Cod and Chips. Honestly one of thr better fish and chips I've had in Van. Wasn't too greasy and the coselaw was really good. Prices are good. Not too busy and quick service.

Went for brunch on the weekend. It was busy but they were able to accommodate our group. I ordered the marilyn omelette and it was sooooo good. The omlette was fluffy and seasoned really well. Coffee was great too, strong without the bitter taste. The breakfast included a house-made blueberry spread that was just amazing. Service was great, as well! I'm really surprised this restaurant has received such poor reviews because my brunch was awesome. I would recommend it.

I had a $70 voucher for ABODE Restaurant so I decided to go on a Saturday night. Located on Robson Street in the heart of downtown, parking was expensive as expected. The restaurant itself is very roomy and modern. Chicken Noodle Soup ($7). Doesn’t it look delicious? I never got to try it, but E’s dad gave two thumbs up for his approval. It definitely looked very appetizing with ample amount of chicken.

Not bad. Decent atmosphere and menu, but the food could have been better. I had the panko breaded cod and fries which was good. The wife had the maple salmon, which was overlooked and the mashed potatoes didn't have any seasoning. The house red was a decent price during happy hour, but was pretty watery and flavourless. The server, which was also the bartender was really attentive and nice. This place has lots of potential, but is lacking in execution from the kitchen.

Fantastic little place. Me and my fiance came here for lunch on our trip to Vancouver, it has wonderful food and the customer service is amazing, they did bring out soup instead of fries, when I asked If they wanted there soup back she said no we could keep it on the house. This is very nice to see, I highly recommend this place, and the prices are very responsible.

Awful breakfast and service. For $11.00 they give you one slice of toast. I asked for another slice and they charged me $1.50! We have given them a number of tries but this is the last time we will ever go there. You have to be really bad to screw up bacon, eggs, and toast.

Had breakfast. Was only ok but small portion for $11. Service was poor, with all the uk tourists around they should know how to serve a cup of tea.

So the journey with my box of Dine Out certificates continue and this time I went to Abode Restaurant which is located conveniently on Robson street not too far from all the main shops. I’ve crossed by this place SO many times but I can’t really put my finger on why I’ve never given it a visit- despite the fact that I’ve probably eaten at most of the restaurants near the main commercial Robson area. The store is quite spacious with lots of different types of seating and feels really homey too. I guess it’s thanks to the simplistic, neutral colour theme they have going on in there. My friend and I were hungry and I happened to have a $75 gift voucher which basically meant that two people were going to devour $75 worth of food. To be specific, that included a Soup and Salad, Chicken Wings, Kitchen Burger, Beer Battered Fish & Chips, and Pan Seared Salmon which EXACTLY came to $75 (yay for perfect numbers). the feast The soup of the day was carrot with ginger so we were served a bowl

Not my favourite...by far. Stumbled upon it, decor is nice. Horrible service as they only had one girl serving and making drinks for the entire place and mediocre food is a gentle term for my scallops that were incredibly overcooked. Fish and chips were ok but you can definitely find better down the street.

Awful service. Was looking for a breakfast place in Vancouver and walked by abode. I liked the decor the and although the menu was limited I felt they had decent choices. I sat for 10 minutes before being asked what I'd like to drink. It was clear they were understaffed. While I waited I noticed 4 different customers come in and leave because they were being ignored. I believe one even asked for a coffee never received it so he just left. Service was extremely slow. The meal was mediocre. Not great but not terrible. I think they cater to the "one-time" customers as they are attached to a hotel. Based on the service and quality it's evident they won't have many repeat customers if they keep it up. Could have been much better, the waitstaff seemed indifferent when people walked out.

I went to Abode with some friends for dine out last week. Usually, we choose restaurants based on menus because they're appealing. We forgot to read the online reviews - our mistake. We all ordered the North Pacific Cod and BC Sockeye Bisque because it was a cold night and the soup sounded more appetizing. I personally liked the soup because it was super salty. My companions did not, it was too salty for them - but it's to be expected from a bisque. The service was terrible. Not only did we have to go to the front to tell them we were ready to order but I had the time to stack all our dishes neatly to wait for them. Out appetizer, which was just a soup, didn't end up coming until an hour after we were seated, more than half an hour after we ordered. Since I ordered the Braised Short Ribs, I also ordered a glass of Road 13 Winery's Seventy Four K. Both were solid. The wine went down smooth - warm and not acidic at all. The parsnip purée was too sweet but the short ribs weren't sweet en

Yea this place did indeed get an overhaul, it is nice inside, very spacious, but i wish the fireplace was real!

Our server was great, very attentive and accomodating. I went for the Classic Benny but had the back bacon replaced by some strips of bacon and had two prawns added for 2 bucks. It was one of the best Bennys ive ever had. Bacon was soft, shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfectly with a buttery taste. The english muffins were perfect, the poached eggs were perfect, and the hollandaise sauce was thick and full of flavour.

Two thumbs up.

Abode is located on the street level of the Blue Horizon Hotel smack dab in the middle of Robson Street. The space was recently renovated and renamed (it used to be called Inlets). The decor is understated and elegant with a casual vibe if you get what I mean. Normally I don’t comment on bathrooms, but the loos at Abode are top notch. Private stalls, nice lighting, interesting sinks. A suggestion – get a window seat – it’s a great people watching spot too. V. impressive. James’ Brekkie Tired of the whole “BFF” concept? Let me suggest a more satisfying alternative: “BBSF” – “Best Breakfast Sandwich Forever.” A recent stop at Adobe on Robson St. revealed a contenda’! Adobe (previously Inlets Bistro) is the street-front anchor for the Blue Horizon Hotel. The joint has a fresh decor to go with it’s new name, and the menu appears to be a mix of old and new dishes for the tourists and locals who loyally (and with good reason) eat here. I went for the Good Start Sandwich (a priced-right $8 ev

Terrible. The venue may have been given an overhaul, sadly the food wasnt.
Went for breakfast, I opted for the italian omelette. The eggs had been over cooked, the asparagus was partly boiled so tasted practically raw, and the bacon looked pre frozed, mini cubed processed by appearence and taste.
The potatoes were oily, hardly seasoned and not cooked through.
Yuck
