Branas Grill

Dining at this charming little restaurant feels almost like a Mediterranean vacation. The cozy interior and beautiful patio is great for a slow and relaxing meal. The food was also delicious. Mussels were fresh and the lamb were grilled perfectly to our liking. Service could be a little slow at peak times as there was only 1 staff throughout our entire meal. Nevertheless, the service was great and we look forward to returning.

Just hit this joint up tonight. It was pretty quiet and the hostess greeted us right away. We got sat by the window with a beautiful view of the harbour. My wife ordered the spinach spanakopita and I ordered the lamb souvlaki plus the calamari to share. Food came out quick and fresh. The calamari was well seasoned and my lamb was cooked beautifully. My wife enjoyed her spanakopita a lot. I highly recommend this place. Other than the heating issues, just bring a sweater because it is a bit chilly in there.

So I walked into this place with my daughters and asked if they had fish & chips.. this old grey haired lady looks at me and says no.. then she says I don’t know if we have fish & chips she grabs a menu and just stuffs it in my hands and tells me to look to see if they have fish and chips.. and this is how me and my daughters were welcomed into the restaurant.. there was a white lady behind me also with kids (the grey haired lady doesn’t tell us to sit down) so we just uncomfortably move out of the way so she could serve the white lady and her kids.. and she welcomes them.. seats them.. and gives the kids a big excited HI! The poor white lady with the kids picked up on the whole thing and is looking at me like she was sorry the lady greeted them and not us.. I tell my daughters well that didn’t feel too good so we left..

Been to Branas 9 time in past 7 years. last time sep 25,2021. very disappointed service horrible. we came in to order take out. weekend evening the pubs next door booked Branas only 2 tables were busy. makes you think why!? well, we discovered why: server/waiter/bartender was too busy talking to her Friend. Svetlana took our order and continued chatting untill I asked did you enter our order she said yes I stood there looking straight at her as I watched her giving me dissatisfied look and undeniably walking toward order machine. Soo she didn't put it through 10min ago. not to mention the attitude. so sad ...but that is not the only reason why on the busy weekend night the restaurant is empty. we ordered take out... no utensils, no napkins! as per FOOD: poutine no gravy ketchup instead on the side, fries saugy, I can taste the old oil that had a taste of fish and other unrecognizables. o the top of the fries dumed ground beef also yucky mushy , seems it was just sauteing i it's old juice almost boiled and tasted like old freezer. chicken wings swimming in garlic yuck. and finally "fresh frozen" calamari the batter..what can i say tasted like fries and fish must be that old oil again. I remember 7 years ago it was my favorite order at the same place. I'm guessing the cook is the "most afortable " in the industry. what a disgrace. how sad. restaurant entrance packed with STUFF super unappealing. the prices are $$$ very unfair to what you get. I have never had such bad quality of food and service even at cheapest greasy spoon low budget joint. I wander if the owner is even aware of the poor quality or she still wanders why her business sucks even though they try to offer brunch..
