Steak 'n Shake

First burger from there. The garlic toasted bun is delicious! The Cajun fries are delicious, too. I love how tiny the fries are cut. The vanilla shake had chunks of Reeses in it. The chocolate shake had pieces of strawberries in it. So, that makes me wonder how clean the ice cream area is. They also apparently had sticky hands, because our bag, napkins, cups were all greasy with Cajun spiced fingerprints. The food was tasty enough that we will try it again.

We stopped here for a quick bite before our movie started. This is the first Steak n Shake we have been to that has actually served us hot food! Nancy waited on us and she was awesome. She was very attentive and kept our drinks refilled. Ask for her and you will not be disappointed. Next time we stop in Tyler will will make sure to stop here again

Service slow took us 33 minutes to get our shakes and 30 minutes to get our food and 2 customers after us got their shakes and food before us and false advertising does that burger look anything like the picture? And ordered 2 shakes large and one in a cup half full and the other in a glass full to the top. Will never be back.

So the burger looks really good right… Well looks can be deceiving… I am a bacon cheeseburger connoisseur… And it kind of breaks my heart to have to ever write a review that has a less than 4-star rating on any combination of these 3 heavenly foods (meat, cheese & bacon).. But.. I’m not going to lie… So it is what it is I guess.. And those french fries to the right that looks so lusciously crisp… Well they are about as wide as a number two pencil cut in half.. Yes they are covered in some kind of spice to make them “taste out of this world”… But the truth is, they just taste like a bunch of flavored sodium.. I actually think if you took little bitty off brand french fries and cover them in season salt, you would probably be happier.. The only thing I will say about the service is this… It was not good and it was not bad… It was passive… It did not encourage me to leave a tip and it did not make me mad enough to write a horrible review.. so you’ll just have to take that for what it’s worth (which may not be much).. I will go back here one day, but only to try the shakes (because I heard they are phenomenal)… I don’t really know… Because I had actually heard the hamburgers were phenomenal too and that was a complete lie… Feel free to check out some of my other reviews if you want to know some killer places to go eat a hamburger… They are not in Tyler but they are worth the drive..
