Delta Cafe Scratch Kitchen

First time eating at Delta Cafe Scratch Kitchen , we were at Sam's Club in Tulsa Oklahoma, and ask associate where is a good place to eat homestyle cooking and she told us about this Restaurant, oh my folks this restaurant is a hidden gem for the lip smacking delicious made from scratch food menus, and your portions are huge , I had the chicken & dumplings with side of green beans , and turnip greens with a homemade dinner roll , my wife had a Chef salad with more meat on this salad then I have ever seen , folks you really got to try this restaurant out in Tulsa Oklahoma, set your GPS to Delta Cafe Scratch Kitchen you won't be disappointed. The chicken & dumplings were just like my grandma made me when I was a kid , and side dishes were outstanding. The turnip greens were so tasty my taste buds we're doing back flips , and my dinner roll was hot and butter melted on contact not like some of places that serve dinner rolls that are so hard you could break plaster with , my wife's chef salad was so huge she needed a take home box , and price for this delicious meal was $22+tip , if you live in Tulsa Oklahoma or visiting the city you gotta try this place it will bring back memories of how your momma and grandma use to cook fo you.

Haven't had Delta Cafe in a very long time... happened to be on this side of town with my kiddos (they have never been) so, I figured I would bring them in and see what they thought about them. The kiddos LOVED the rolls! I have always loved the jalapeno cornbread with butter. My youngest got the macaroni & cheese which she devoured. The mash potatoes she claimed were "spicy" but that is probably because she saw the pepper flakes...she doesn't care for seasoning. To me, the mashed potatoes is one of my favorite sides. *Ugh kids* My teen got the hamburger, now he is a hamburger critic, he said it was good as well as the fries. However, we ended up getting about 3 orders of rolls. As for myself, I got chicken & dumplings and they were wondering! Kids approved! We are happy & full! We will definitely be back! Service was wonderful as well. I did not catch our waitress name but she was very attentive and the atmosphere was nice.

Delicious home style food. Our server was on the ball and went above and beyond for a special request we had. I had fried shrimp that they made for me with cornmeal instead of batter. We were there after the lunch hour so it was not at all crowded. It was also the day after they had their power restored from the huge storm that went through a week ago, and it looked like all was back up and running well.

Everything was great! Waitress was so nice and attentive. Had the pot roast and catfish. Roll and cornbread was so delicious with fluffy butter on the side. Absolutely loved it! It was very busy on Tuesday senior night for 10% discount. They probably need to hire more waitresses/waiters, but ours was very lovely.
