This is perhaps the worst run coffee shop we've ever been to. The last visit was with my wife, my son and my parents and the shop was filthy with grime all over the floors, and every was table littered with cups and crumbs. The lady and man that appear to manage the place are incredibly rude, with piss poor customer service skills and I would not be surprised if they continue to lose clientele despite their location. To top it off the food was disgusting and my 6 month old could have made better sandwiches. AVOID this place like the plague ... You're better off at Tim Horton's...

Serving up crêpes and smoothies to beaches residents for the past five years is Juice & Java, a bright, urban cafe whose hip locale fits right in to this waterside neighbourhood. Local artwork and photographs line the walls, with big comfy couches and chairs providing a relaxing escape from the bustle of the streets outside. A mini library and community board make patrons feel right at home, and a guestbook gives them the chance to jot down their thoughts and experiences – good or bad.<br/><br/>We arrived at Juice & Java on a sunny Wednesday afternoon for a late lunch. In the mood for something both sweet and savoury, we shared two delicious crêpes – the Farmer’s Bounty and Strawberry Shortcake. With roasted chicken, bacon, avocado, tomato, Swiss cheese, lettuce and cranberry aioli, the Farmer’s Bounty is a delicious club sandwich folded into a soft crêpe. The house-made cranberry aioli is the star of this crêpe, cutting through the brininess of this meat-heavy meal with a touch of subtle sweetness. Satisfying the dessert lovers at our table was the Strawberry Shortcake crêpe. Crisp, yet chewy and filled with coconut, cream cheese and fresh strawberries, this crêpe is the perfect balance between sweet and tart.<br/><br/>Making a great smoothie is no easy feat, but Juice & Java seems to have mastered this skill, too. With freshly squeezed lemons and all-natural lemonade, the Pink Lemonade is thirst-quenching and tasty and perfect for a warm, sunny day. Fans of chocolate will love the Chocolate Chimp, a creamy concoction of cocoa, peanut butter, banana and milk. Whether ordered to go or as a companion to your meal, these smoothies are sure to brighten any day.

Great atmosphere, mediocre coffee. I went here with a friend for a coffee recently and my experience was mixed. The atmosphere here is cute, lots of seating and open space, booths, tables, and some people working quietly, it's really a great space. The only thing is that their drinks are just okay. I had a latte and the quality was very poor, it was warm and had a very weak flavour to it. Too bad, really.

It's wonderful to still have a cool , locally owned, coffee shop in the beaches. It has great coffee. As well they have sandwhiches, wraps, crepes and sweets. The food is good & very fresh but not amazing. Something like your best friend who is a good cook would make for you. That what it feels like, the servers are always very friendly. The best part is the vibe of the place. It has local art hanging all over, free books & newspapers to read while your there. An assortment or large & small tables to eat/work at, leather chairs & love seats to relax. It the kin of place I go to enjoy great coffee, relax & get work done. Free wi-fi of course. They have a small patio as well. Oh & the music is great of you like mellow indie/alternative folk type music. I do. This is the place to go if your an "Urban Hippie" and want more then a Starbucks has to offer.
