Plowman's

For my first time trying plowman’s kitchen I ordered a cheeseburger & club sandwich. Both of these tasted amazing! For the burger, they let you choose your bread & a side. At the first bite you could tell the bun was fresh. The club was easily one of the best I’ve had. I could only eat one half of the sandwich because of how much they packed into the sandwich. The bacon wasn’t microwaved bacon that tastes like rubber. You can taste that they had just fried it prior to bringing the sandwich to the table. I love how they repurposed this restaurant. It is so unique & I love that they put the band instruments on the walls, lamps, etc. The service was great & you can’t beat the price!

FAR…far exceeded our expectations!!! The restaurant is a renovated school band room located in a seemingly obscure area. Very quaint! The locals and staff were very friendly. Although staffing was limited the wait time was short. The food was exceptionally delicious. This comment is coming from a registered dietitian with a peculiar palate. My apologies for not taking pics of our desserts. (A slice of the chocolate buttermilk pie and the caramel apple pecan pie) 😋😋😋💥

Great spot in Taylor with some story behind it. Food was delicious and staff very friendly. A bit disappointed though as they were out of loaded potatoes and Alfredo sauce for the fettuccini Alfredo. Another bit of aggravation is there were flies circling around making for a constant fight to keep ‘em off your food and drinks. I’d definitely stop by again though.

Great place in Taylor...converted Band Hall. Friendly folks and very attentive wait staff. Like everyone else they had tables but had to manage through not having staff. Wait for a table on Saturday for brunch. Food was good. Deserts ok. Gets 4 stars for options in taylor and friendly wait staff and crew. We'll priced bill pic enclosed

We heard about this place on Instagram when we were getting ready to move to Taylor. It’s awesome that they repurposed the old high school with this restaurant and a few others. This restaurant is in the band hall so there are instruments hanging around: a flute and clarinet lamp, and en tables that are drums. Now for the food. I have never had fried green tomatoes so we got that as an appetizer. It was topped with goat cheese and jalapeño jelly and let me tell you! It was so good. I got the shrimp tacos that come with sriracha mayo and I think mango salsa. The shrimp are blackened and cooked to perfection. They have some pies and cheesecakes in a glass case that you can order to go or when you are dining. They all looked amazing and I can’t wait to come back and try some of them.

This place serves breakfast, lunch and dinner ALL DAY. Yes, you read that correctly. ALL DAY! 🙌 You want pancakes, bacon & eggs at 7pm? You got it! Craving some chicken fried steak at 9am? Done! My daughter and I LOVE & always share their breakfast board. It comes with 8 pancakes, 8 french toast, bacon, sausage & fruit!! 🥞🥓🍓🫐 My bf faithfully orders the chicken fried steak (comes with bacon & jalapeño gravy). He says it’s the best chicken fried steak, hands down. Hold on though, i’m not done. You like mimosas? 🥂 They have craft mimosas. You get a good 6 glasses out of one craft. Want dessert? Sure you do! Their dessert is made FRESH daily. They don’t have a small selection either (not pictured). They have all kinds of pies and cakes to choose from. 🥧🍰 Ohhh lawwwddd! This is the spot. Not only is the food amazing but so is the environment. Y’all, this was once a band hall. They have it decorated with instruments!!! 🥁🎺

Saturday night dinner. Had to wait 35 minutes for a seat because the kitchen was backed up. Once we had our seat we were greeted by a waitress who said it was her first night. Well, she did a great job tonight! She was friendly and attentive. I ordered a shiner and was told they were out but I was turned on to an awesome porter instead. I had chicken fried steak and I loved it. The jalapeño gravy was awesome. Side of fries and Mac n cheese rounded out the rest of my dinner. I enjoyed our meal, even though we had to wait a bit. Total time from arrival to departure was about 1 1/2 hours. TLDR; Friendly service, great food. Give them a try
