Sutherland was a bucket list item. But supping at Ou Meule will bring me back. The butternut soup and vetkoek, yum. Best lambshank ever, wish they could share the recipe.

Awesome place. Thanks so much for going out of your way to prepare a gluten free / sugar free meal for my daughter... Having ulcerative colitis her choices are limited and her meal was superb. The pizza was amazing and the lamb shanks just yum!

Great food!! Even greater service and atmosphere!! Definitely the restaurant to be in in Sutherland! Ingrid is the perfect hostess!
We did book our dinner here about two weeks in advance as recommended by the guest house we stayed in. Always book your spot at Ou Meule way in advance. It is a popular place. You can book via WhatsApp.... very convenient. Blessings!

Definitely worth the visit if you want to have a delicious burger or lamb meat meal. Don't be deceived by the simple look from the outside, go in and enjoy yourself! They also have a bar. The coffee is standard however the dumplings on the dessert menu are worth the money. The portions are generous so you will get value for your money!

Very tasty lamb shank near a warm pizza oven which is in the main dining area. Good portion size, veggies and mint jelly.

By far the greatest coffee in town.
Unfortunately, their credit machine was broken, thus we were unable to eat there. Ingrid was a welcoming host and the restaurant is spotless but will undoubtedly grab a bite there in the future.

Stopped over in Sutherland on our way back to Cape Town from the Kgalagadi and this was the place recommended to us by the locals to go have dinner at. The menu is not huge but interesting dishes on it. At our table we opted for Lamb Chops, Lamb Shank and Pizza for our son. There is no kiddies menu here. The food was awesome and freshly prepared. On inquiry they make their own pizza dough and make the pizzas fresh. The pizza was also very good. Our waitress was new and was not 100% sure about all the dishes, but still provided an awesome service.

Best restaurant in Sutherland, had the lamb chops, they were great. Chicken schnitzel was also very tasty. Topped meal off with the chocolate sunday. Great food, great service, full marks

This restaurant has a quirky decor but could use some heating as it was cold in there. The service is friendly. The food delicious. We had pizzas, a schnitzel, skilpadtjies and the tipsy tart. Highly recommend all of them.
