Murphy's Law

I saw the reviews on Yelp. Not the nicest, but oddly it seemed to be more about noise level and old people. The reviews on Google were much kinder. Anyhow since it was close by I though we ought to check it out. We went on a Wednesday evening. The place was practically empty. The bar itself was pretty full, mostly younger to middle age people eating and drinking at the bar. We were the only ones to sit at a table. It's a typical sports bar, lots of TV's. There was only one bar tender, but she did a good job waiting on everyone. The food was good, the portions were big, and the price was very good. It would be nicer if they could get more light in there, especially natural light. Not saying I will go running back, but as the tourist season picks up, it might be a good option when you don't want to wait an hour or more just to get seated.

We have been ordering to go orders,, Parmesan garlic chicken wings and chicken quesadillas and each and every time it’s been delicious, they give you everything you need when you pick up your to go order. So glad to have them in Surfside Beach and can’t wait till Covid is over so we can hang out and watch games there, Keep up the great work Murphy’s Law🤗

It was Sunday so I was surprised that drink prices were so reasonable. My fish and chips were very good and came with cold slaw, fries and a choice of another side. My husband had a Philadelphia cheese wrap and chose onion rings as his side choice which were yummy. Quite a selection of basic food and snacks on the menu. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere as all NFL games were on TV. My only complaint is that the acoustics from the TV's and/or jukebox? were VERY loud and buzzing. A little dingy looking from the outside but don't be put off by that. Give it a go for a local bar.

It’s a rather small bar with a sports theme and a love of all things…PITTSBURGH! Lots of great memorabilia in the bar and a few fun things to do. The bathrooms are awkwardly located right next to where people throw darts…that could be a problem; if not outright disaster. The place is a bit on the small side and the location is easily missable if you weren’t looking for it. Our large group was specifically looking for this place for nostalgia purposes, as a recently deceased family member always loved coming to this place. I got the wings and they were FANTASTIC. Lots of great bar food and drinks available. I may be confused, but I think this was the same Murphy’s Law that existed at a different location near Garden City beach.

My wife and I have been coming here for about 4 years now, we always feel welcomed and enjoy the atmosphere. We get the crab legs and wings every time and never disappointed. Sometimes you may wait a bit if they are busy or under staffed but that’s when we have a drink, relax, listen to music and talk to the locals. Murphys will continue to be one of our local spots!
