Great food! Hard to communicate with staff. Ordered an almond chx entree and had no rice?? Needed to order separate, which would of been fine if told. Now. All meat no substance. Prob better not to order direct. Issue is why I’m leaving this, as it’s a family. Won’t change this core issue. Maybe other people will understand and post as well. Can’t change anymore unless you get traction. Ps. I’m done with “dinner” and I feel like I ate fried apps at the bar. Damn rice makes the difference. Who orders this like this?!I mean it was only $25 after tip for this an an actual app but really. Just some simple small steamed rice. At some point you raise prices as you need to provide a complete meal. This isn’t a damn credit card. It’s a meal.

I found this place by doing a Google search for Chinese food near me and I decided to give it a try because the pictures on other people's reviews looked much more appealing than some of the other Chinese food around the area. They are currently take out only. I used their website to place an online order and it was pretty simple to use and included pictures to make it easy to know what you were getting. I got a text confirming my order and another text to let me know when my order was ready for pick up which was within 25 mins at 6pm on a Wednesday. The place was clean and I was greeted as soon as I walked in by friendly staff. My food was ready for me and I was in and out in less than a minute. I ordered honey walnut prawns, bbq pork fried rice, and kung pow chicken. The portions were very generous and that was appreciated as I'm feeding a family of 5. I was really shocked at how many prawns were in my HWP order because most places skimp on the shrimp 😅. The only downside was there was too much sauce on it for my liking but I know some people like alot of sauce so this was just my personal opinion. The flavor was great though! The kung pao chicken wasn't disappointing but again they were generous with the amount of sauce making the texture of the meat a bit soggy. The fried rice was great. Overall, I think $42 was fair. I would rather pay this here than to settle at Panda Express which could add to same price for not as quality food.

Ordered online from this place, order was right on time, the employee was friendly and the process was great. The food was... not. The fried rice was bland, the squid was bland, but worst of all was the chow mein! The noodles in it were this thick, slimy homemade dumpling kind of thing- It was super gross. This place just seems bad in general, as it wasn't a single dish- all the food collectively was very bad. In the end I'm not even mad, it gave me stories to tell for the future about the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Pictured are the noodles in the chow mein, these are not pieces of chicken.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Pierce county! I usually travel north, all the way to Lynwood if I really want Chinese food. But now I don’t have to travel much because Peking Garden is solid! Food is always hot, fresh ingredients, bang for your buck, authentic and homemade feel. The happy family meal has so many different components but each item was fresh and cooked properly. Their dumplings has gotta home and handmade. The dough has the right chewiness as they do at authentic dimsum restaurants and the filling is definitely “filling” I hope they keep up the good work. Will always support this restaurant for my Chinese digs.
