Ferguson

Visited Ferguson for a birthday dinner on Saturday night. We have been looking forward to trying this restaurant and after finally getting the opportunity to go, the food can easily be summed up in one word. Exquisite! We were a party of 4 who received a very warm welcome from Julie. The other servers were equally as friendly and it was a really lovely atmosphere to socialise with friends & enjoy delicious food. The only struggle I had was which dish to go for. In the end I chose the Cockaleekie Terrine to start & the Chorizo Crumb Cod. Both of these were sheer perfection. I obviously had to try my husband's too; he chose the Monkfish Cheeks & then the Scottish Seafood Bouillabasse, both dishes as perfect as my own choices. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant & we can't wait to return.

Exquisite food in a cosy setting with a warm welcome. Beautifully presented plates of gourmet deliciousness! Felt completely spoiled by the culinary creations and love the use of local seasonal produce. Susan was a fabulous host and I felt very special indeed to experience this gem of a restaurant on its opening night. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food. An asset to Strathaven, well done team Ferguson!
