Great local pub with excellent food and beer and friendly staff

Great local pub with four rooms and a nice garden/outside area. Always a decent selection of lagers and ales which are kept to a high standard by the landlord. The spirits shelves are also substantially stocked with a large range of whiskeys, bourbons & gins etc. Cosy atmosphere with friendly locals and live music every Friday night and Sunday afternoon. (There are also two good indian restaurants within a few metres.) Well worth a visit.

Best pub in the area for a warm welcome, nice pint & freindly locals. I Felt right at home here visiting from Aintree. Credit to staff esp sue , an punters for that. Sad i had to depart a day early as i had acom issues.thanks, jon

4 years between visits, still a fantastic pub. Popped in for a friend's birthday, great atmosphere, friendly staff and prices behind the bar didn't break the bank. Lots of seating inside and a great beer garden (although too cold to really appreciate it). Hopefully it won't be 4 years before I manage to pop in again. Would recommend.

What a great old themed pub. Great band. Lovely outdoor seating area. Pleasant people happy to serve and ha e a joke with. I came here about 30 years ago when it was spit and sawdust. Well done for the changes made. I'll come here again. Keep up the good work.
