Everytime I'm in the area and the weather is warm I'll stop by Rita's to get an Italian gelati with ice. The ice comes in different flavors that rotates so you might not be able to get the same thing you got last time.

Rita's frozen custard and Italian ice sounds like a strange combination, but tastes amazing. It is reminiscent of Hawaiian shaved ice where they put ice cream at the bottom.
The Italian ice comes in various flavors which are strong enough to stand up to the custard without being too overpowering. I found the custard to be extra creamy as advertised.
Overall, I enjoyed the dessert just fine on a 100 degree day. I cannot stress the friendliness of the staff and management. They were doing extremely busy and were able to serve everyone in a timely fashion. More than that, I never felt rushed and was given ample time and assistance in making my selection.

Make no mistake about it, their custard is amazing the customer service at this location however is not. The employee was not available upon entering inside she also took her sweet time to assist us. When she did come out to serve us she was super rude and snappy. I wouldn't recommend this location.

I love you Rita's. You understand me. I tried to order my soft serve in a waffle cone at Baskin Robbins and they literally said no one had ever ordered that. They had never heard of such a thing. Seriously!

Owner was extremely rude and stood behind the counter like he knew what he was doing but was clearly out of his element. He made several remarks about owning and all the things he did😶. Employee's were great! let them do their job

So many options! I was truely glad to see dairy free icey in ton of flavors. I tried the vanilla but eventually caved for the old fashion vanilla and chocolate custard swirl, the kids cup was a lot!

This place has really good ice cream and shaved ice. I only wish they would have a larger variety of flavors, the flavors they do have are quite good though, they always have coupons to hand out which is a bonus

Love their gelato. It’s almost as good as Peace, Love and Shave Ice in Manteca. I wish we had awesome Shave ice in Stockton... do we? I only know of Rita’s.
