We had excellent service. Warm and welcoming venue. Food was excellent. We had an enjoyable lunch on the terrace and you can sit inside this amazing restaurant. Highly recommended for wines cocktails food. Ideal for celebrations and family dining

Was there last night as part of a workshop dinner, mixed feelings on this one, my fishcake starter was tasty but it had way too many bones in it, which was not great. Main course was mushroom risotto, was awesome, and dessert was strawberries and ice cream, also good. Didn't enjoy waiting well over an hour for mains after the starter though. Service was OK, and decor etc is funky and on point.

We had an exceptional dining experience at De Warenmarkt, thanks to our fantastic server Dave. The oysters were fresh, the risotto was exquisite, and the wine selection was outstanding. Dave's recommendations elevated the tasting to perfection. A five-star evening filled with culinary delights and impeccable service.

Wow! What a stunning place! Amazing oysters 🦪 and really incredible wagyu and gemsbok with butternut, aubergine 🍆 and sweet potato chips, salads 🥗

I loved being here. Love the set up too, one side for intimate conversation, lovely fireplace, rustic design. An absolute Gem of a place. Time stands still when you're here, before we knew it we'd been having drinks having great conversation for 6 hours and they were getting ready to close!! I even forgot to take photos😂. Service was really really great, one of the best I've experienced in Stellenbosch. Keep it up, I'll be recommending and revisiting you on my next visit to the Western Cape😎

It's a shame I cannot drink so I'll just comment that it's a great place foe food, too! The lamb mimosa with yogurt is quite a satisfying starter. The prawn tempura risotto is not too spicy, but its could be more flavourful (other than just spicy and creamy). The highlight for me was the milk tart. It's not too sweet, and the ginger really made it shine. We stayed until closing time and ordered dessert when the kitchen was supposed to close (9:45pm) but they were accommodating anyway.

Love this little gem of a restaurant. Very cosy atmosphere in winter with the fire place. Food is good. Love their cappuccinos

Excellent venue with a large menu, all the food here is of quite a high standard. The mussels being my highlight. Its great that you can taste many different wines at your leisure from the wine bar. I will recommend breakfast or dinner here as I have tried both.
