Mexicue

Food was terrible, I ordered the birria platter and it didn’t came with what it was described in the menu. Was missing the beens and the cheese in the tacos. The rice was old, it was tough to eat, It was just a sad plate. Then the service was disappointing. The whole experience was terrible. I don’t know if it is a this point a restaurant or a bar that serves food. Maybe it wasn’t a good day to go? Hope you can improve your service in general.

The pier is great to be there and have a walk at night, about mexicue I was really hoping it to have a little mote ambient, it was a saturday night and not a bit of music playing, so I got bored and went out for a walk. But it is a nice looking place for something else like a date or just if you don't want to feel all the fuzz about weekends .

We are here constantly! Just a few feet from our place, anytime we want something quick and delicious Mexicue is our go to. Personally the nachos is a must every time for starters. I usually get a pork toco and a chicken toco for my food. The tacos are so big and tasty that sometimes one could fill you up. The jambalaya bowl is also another favorite of ours. The prices are very decent for what they offer, which makes a easy option to choose every time. The only criticism that I need to address is their timing. Almost 4 out of 5 times the food or the appetizer or the drinks take too long, especially if it’s on a weekend night! So recommend for great food whenever you are not in a rush. Sincerely, Atrin H

Poor service (& I'm really not looking 4 top notch but basic sense of urgency). Reservation was made but no table prepped. I appreciate that they care for a dog and brought water for a dog but not the table. (It was 90+°F). Asked for a straw for a 5 year old, was told the order did not come in, but a table that came after us got their drinks with straws. As for food- that's a matter of one's taste buds. But I found it a bit on a spicier side.

As soon as you walk in, you immediately sense that no one working there actually wants to be there. We were “greeted” by the hostess who was on her phone and proceeded to take us to the dining room and tell us to “sit wherever” – all while STILL glued to her phone. The service was mediocre, at best. The waiter to forever to bring our drinks out and mind you - there were 3 other (small) tables occupied at that time. We ordered an appetizer and the waiter did not come back to clear out plates. We wanted to order more drinks and the waiter would not stop at our table, we had to actively call on him multiple times to get his attention. The food arrived and taste wise it was fine. We got two tacos (which were cold) and one jambalaya burrito (which had 3 pieces of chorizo and no chicken). We didn’t even bother to send the food back because it would’ve taken too long to get it back - but even longer to get the waiter’s attention. Safe to say, we will not be back unless significant changes are made. It’s very disappointing to see a well decorated and well located restaurant with such potential been ran by people who simply put, do not care.
