Bier Markt

Had a lovely dining experience here tonight with my housemates. Our Blackall Formal event was a blast! Great food, great atmosphere, great staff! The windows flung open in the middle of dinner, we found that funny as it shocked some of our friends 😂. But the staff were quick to deal with the issue. We had a great time, overall! Will surely come here again.

I sat at the bar took pan-fried cod and it was good, a lot salty but I like it that way. Enjoyed to be at the bar because the bartender made me try couple beer for free and I could really enjoyed more what I ordered. Was nice to discuss about beers with somebody who enjoy that as much as you. When you want to go in a place with a lot of beers like bier markt you want somebody who can help you choose! Had a really good service. Loved that bar

Wanted to go to a different brewery for supper but they were packed, walked down the road to the bier market and what a happy accident. Upon being seated me and my girlfriend realized the nuce fresh breeze was because the windows were removed! On nice days its open ocean breeze and fantastic. The food was also wicked. Our server was very well knowledged about beer and i especially love how you could taste the beer before committing. Would recommend to a friend would deffinetly go again. The open windows were unexpected and a bit chilly but overall a great time :).

Wow! Great food and amazing service. We have tried many steak and date night places throughout the city and we are truly impressed with this place. The server was quick, funny and not intrusive. The food was hot and delicious. There was no rush yet no slow time lapses. One of the best food encounters I have had in a long time. Cannot wait to return!!!

Overall, I was happy with the food and drinks but I'm hopeful that on a service level, I just had bad luck. It wasn't very busy but there was still only one server and it took forever to even get drinks. After some time, someone came over but didn't know their seasonal taps. Another 10 minutes and another server came that looked after us. Finally we asked to just place our food order at the same time, and again I was pretty disappointed with the speed. It would have been difficult to have another drink or two even if I wanted. The person that took me there for supper apologized it wasn't the greatest dining experience. Overall, the food and drinks were good, but I'd be cautiously optimistic the next time I am in St. John's.
