Salt 'n' Battered - Springfield

Went to grab me some lunch and got absolutely ripped off with my hotdog! Cost $6.90 meant to have 3 fillings (cheese, bacon amd grilled onions) had no bacon, 3 strands of grated cheese and the most pathetic amount of grilled onions known to the human race! Its somewhat understandable if it was 6pm and had dinner rush but i was literally the only person to be served and then a few people trickled in after, but definitely not under the pump!! I had some beer battered chips and they were okay apart from not one grain of salt to be found on them!! I will never return here. Apart from the above, shop was clean and tidy. Staff didnt really want to serve me as she was glued the her phone ! Disappointing

Used to like this place, however after the new owners not at all. Been twice thinking the first time was them just getting used to it, but no both times the chips have been cooked in filthy oil they taste off couldn’t even finish them. Both times the fish has been over cooked and is like chewing on rubber and the gravy Taste like plastic.Extremely poor quality never again.

Just about gave up trying to find a decent fish and chip shop this side of town until we randomly found this little gem of a place tucked away in the back of Springfield. We ordered two grilled pieces of fish, chips, potato scallops, calamari and a pineapple fritter. The grilled fish was so tasty and moist, the calamari beautiful and tender, potato scallops yummy and crunchy, and the pineapple fritter delicious! I very rarely eat takeaway as I am pretty fussy, but I will definitely be making an exception and revisiting this place again. It deserves multiple thumbs up! 😀 👍 👍👍👍👍
