I’m new to Springfield and this spot def takes the cake for best bar in Springfield. Will be coming back. It’s a little divey (but not dirty), which I’m all about. The bouncer (Tyler?) was super friendly. If you’re here you gotta check this place out

A fabulous atmosphere and convenient place to go. Floyd's is the place to meet your friends when you are downtown. Great crowd wonderful staff. Floyd's is a great place to meet and relax.

Today, I called Floyd's and asked if i could get a free birthday drink and the man who answered said "Yes, why not? Come on in!" So, i walked on over and i asked for my free drink and he refused to serve me. I give him no reason not to serve me. I was polite and i even showed him my I.D.. So, I just left that place with no attitude. Still polite, but left.
I believe he could have been a lil more up front or downright honest when i called on the phone before i walked all of the way over. I've never been there before, and I doubt I'll ever come back.

I like this place but I think it is way too dark inside. The drink selection is great. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's just really dimly lit. I get mood lighting but this isn't mood lighting. This is more "witness protection program" lighting. Still a good place for a cold one though. Worth a stop if you are downtown.

Greatest place to start drinking in downtown Springfield. Central to all other bars as well as sushi + tacos + pizza within walking distance. Have a light downstairs atmosphere for casual drinks, and a rowdier "clubby" atmosphere upstairs if you're looking to run into someone from high school
