To start off, I would give this place a 5 star, if the floor wasn't sticky, the manager/owner was actually nicer, the food wasn't so expensive and if they offered outside seating.
For the price we paid, other places in town offer a much better service and overall experience.
The food seemed ok, but with how fast it was made, it seemed like they didn't have enough time to chill the sushi.

Absolutely amazing. This is, by far, the best sushi I have ever had, and surprisingly affordable. It was a very happy environment, and the people were incredibly nice and funny. The (made from scratch) food came really quickly, and the presentation was fabulous.
11/10, would recommend to sushi lovers everywhere.

This is a small, cozy restaurant with great interior and friendly staff. I was greeted and welcomed very warmly. The sushi is very good! It’s interesting to see Korean kimbap ingredients mixed with Japanese sushi ingredients. The circumference of the sushi is very wide in size compared to other sushi places. It’s very tasty! I went in to order takeout for two rolls and they had my order ready within minutes. Definitely coming back.

Absolutely fantastic food! The egg rolls are second to none, and the sushi is amazing! Place is small, but the food is well worth going there for! If you like Sushi, you will not want to go anywhere else for it again!
Went back again 7/2/22 and it was just as amazing! I swear the egg rolls are a food group! Can't eat them anywhere else anymore!

My go-to sushi spot for when I'm in town. The food is always great top quality and Hiro is so nice. Eating at Happy Sushi makes my stomach happy! (This dish is Anger Management.)

Good, generous cuts of fish, fresh, and well made. Was happy to find a place that holds up even against fancy big city sushi places having just moved to Springfield. Our newest go to sushi place.
Still holds up, great fish (for the Midwest, but still great). Sometimes the phone doesn't work, and they'll take vacations but it's obviously a mom n pop operation so they deserve a break.

Best sushi I've had in my life. My husband has been to Japan and had authentic sushi and says this is as close as it gets. Compliments to the best sushi chef in Sangamon County. Also prices are reasonable when you see how big these rolls are! 😋
