The coffee is great. The cafe is surrounded by big windows so I can enjoy the view wholeheartedly while sipping on coffee. Definitely recommend takin a break here on ypir qay to Arthur's Pass

The service by the young woman working on her own yesterday deserves a review of her own. Fantastic service under pressure, we sure hope your boss appreciates you, you coped marvelously with a smile that saved the day. A total credit to the place. And the coffee was bloody good too.

Love calling in here. The sign says best coffee in town and the coffee backs up the claim. Awesome Lemon Slice to have with the coffee. All this and paired with good old fashioned country hospitality. Well worth stopping on the way through

This cafe is a place you definitely have to visit and have a meal and drink. The food is absolutely delicious and so big. One of the nicest burgers I have ever had.
The staff are very pleasant and friendly and the cafe is lovely and warm due to the fire going. Definitely will be calling back into the Highway Cafe and try out other meals.
Lovely hot drinks too. A must to visit.

The pumpkin soup of day warmed me right up after a chilly Arthur’s Pass visit. It tasted fantastic! The Wild West pancakes were really delicious too. Warm and friendly staff, great playlist. Highly recommend this stop for a meal and coffee.

Lovely people and an amazing coffee! So glad they are stocking the famous butchers pie by far the best pies in the area, couldn’t recommend this place enough if you are passing through on the way to the west coast or just want a nice place to go for a drive it’s definitely worth the stop
