Every rare occasion I've ordered here over the past 20 years, the fish & chips have always had a kind of bitter, dryness compared to most others. I assume down to being cooked in different fat. It's always been disappointing given the cost. The staff have generally always been friendly and welcoming however.
Great Chips fried properly in veg oil, unlike others around here that use cow dripping, that turns chips into a meat product. Lovely friendly staff.
1st time here tonite 06/01/26 was recommended to come here to try it and It didn't disappoint me sausage and chips was very tasty

This is probably one of the best fish and chips I have ever had it tastes so good and so filing. Portions are really big and the fish is just amazing 100% deserve 5 stars!!
Tonight I wet to Jaks haven't been there long time ..thought I will give them a try.. bought large cod , went home started to eat it smelt like peroxide/ bleach and it was well off ...smell was too bad to eat ...sorry but one star..
Also bought scampi which was great.. and potato's were fresh..
