We ordered two lots of fish and chips here with ice cold water (which you need on a hot day) the ladies where really nice and welcoming, even helped me out by cutting up the fish and separating the chips ready for my kids to eat, they do go out of their way to help you out, didn’t get your name but everyone was helpful and welcoming,
The fish was delicious and the chips even better, would highly recommend calling in here for fish and chips.

The girl at the counter served me a brilliant bottle of water, tasted of water, ice cold, just overall absolutely class.

Fantastic fish and chips, the chips are cooked perfectly and the plaice was equally great, the rest of the family had cod which was also so tasty. Obviously, masters of their trade.

Had some lovely fish and chips here. Very good portion size and tasty too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for takeaway to the commons nearby or has eat in facilities too.

Excellent fish and chips, cooked while you wait (you may have to queue quite a while at busy periods!). Atmosphere: rough and ready, and none the worse for that. Beware: only open till 8pm and not at all Sunday evenings.

Not a bad little fish and chip shop. Service was decent, a little bit of a wait, but was somewhat busy. Fish was a tiny bit undercooked and could have done with a few more chips for the price (understand prices have gone up). Would probably come again off peak.

Quality fish and chips at a great price served by friendly staff. Going to Marks is always a highlight of my holiday and I’ve been there 3 times this week. You are always guaranteed a warm welcome and tasty fish and chips. Small portions are fabulous for mum. Love the sausages too. Hope they are still there next year as notice it’s up for sale.

Great seaside fish and chips. Freshly cooked fish, not pre cooked and sat in a hot cupboard. Has some seating or takeaway. Good value comparable with other similar fish and chip shops. Friendly staff. A small wait should be expected as food is cooked to order. You can watch it being dipped in batter and then fried.
Hope to be able to visit again.
And I thought it was well named.
And the essential wooden forks.
