Wow! Loved this place!! Loved the patio seating! Food was wonderful, not only great portions but really reasonable prices. The owner lady was on it and very sweet! Definitely be back next time in the area!

VERY clean Old Hometown, Home-cooked Southern Food. Okay customer service, nothing to rave about. Food was delicious and GREAT "TEXAS" portions. Worth taking a drive to Sommerville, Texas to enjoy a meal. Outside seating so you can take your fur babies with you. 🐕

Mama's kitchen is hands down the best food I've had. The atmosphere is super homey and cozy makes the place comfortable. The service is friendly very easy going people. The waitress is good with the children. Food was phenomenal every bit. I had breakfast omelet and my husband had a bacon burger (it's really big). Both were the great. I highly recommend Mama's kitchen if you are ever passing through or staying a while.

We came on a whim, based on reviews while getting outta town on a Sunday afternoon.
So happy we came.
Everyone was so friendly, service was great and the food.... so worth a trip from Houston. Great southern cooking!!
We both had the small chicken fried steaks based on all the positive reviews about them. And they did not disappoint!!
Fried mushrooms were perfect and my husband loved his fried corn.
Sorry no photos, it was THAT good!!!
We will be back if we are in the area again.

#4 Breakfast, biscuits & gravy were good. Eggs seemed to be on smallish side, bacon average. Friends said #1 with chicken fried steak was "off the chain". Would eat here again, prices affordable.

I wanted my burger cooked medium. It came out, the 1st time, well done and had so little juice that it was dry. Returned it and the second one was a little better but was still not medium and had no onion ring on it. Also they gave me the same fries from the 1st burger so the where cold. We have eaten here before and have been happy. But that is my last time for the burger.

Wow. This is a GREAT place to eat. I loved everything about it and our waitress was so nice and helpful. Will definitely be back!
