Skyrail Canopy Cafe

Nice views of the rain forest as you ride up. Nice that you get to stop in two places as you ride up. The diamond view was worth it as you could get great photos/videos. I wished there was more to walk in the rainforest and the walking parts were more natural (rather than paved and surrounded by fences).

We spent a morning travelling both ways by Skyrail. The service team at each spot were super friendly and helped with access with a disabled family member. Carriage was clean and delivered a smooth ride, nothing scary infact quite peaceful. Weather was clear with only slight breezes on the day we took the Skyrail. Would take the trip again.

A really enjoyable experience. Excellent and capable staff meant the car transitions were smooth and Mick explained the rainforest effect for the region perfectly at the Smithfield station where there was also a very good display of information boards. Whilst the weather decided to obscure the view, overall it was a fantastic trip 👌

An amazing experience for the whole family. The views are fantastic and the stops and lookouts along the way are great! Everything is so well maintain and the staff are super friendly. We loved our round trip up to Kuranda with Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns.

Absolutely fantastic day!! Went up on the train, looked around then back down by Skyrail!! For someone with a massive fear of heights, I was surprised at how safe, stable and professional the staff were! The views, worth EVERY CENT and something you can only get on this skyrail! If you’re not sure, I’m two minds or just don’t know if it’s worth it, trust me, it’s worth every cent!! An amazing attraction Cairns are lucky to have! Glad I finally put the fear behind me and did it!!

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a 7.5-kilometre scenic tourist cableway running above the Barron Gorge National Park, in the Wet Tropics of Queensland’s World Heritage Area in Australia. Its a unique adventure providing astonishing views over the forest and Barron Falls. Spot 2-3 h to enjoy the return trip and explore the Barron Falls. Suitable for all people. Can easily upgrade your booking to include transport from your accommodation to the Smithfield terminal. A lot of parking area for people who are driving to the Smithfield terminal. Advance booking is recommended in high seasons. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended!!!
