Stopped by to get food for our kids. Had ordered ahead via the app and went in to pick up the order and waited for the food to be made fresh to order. While this did require us to wait longer, the payoff was fresh food including freshly made nuggets and fries.
We ordered 2 happy meals for our two youngest boys and the only downside was they gave us different toys in the happy meals. Anyone who is a parent of kids who are getting happy meals, will tell you that different toys usually cause arguing between them, thankfully this time it didn't. They were nice and shared the toys with each other without incident. This is just something that they may want to be aware of in the future.
The staff was super nice and helpful. They double checked the entire order to ensure we had everything we needed and also made sure the drinks and all necessary accoutrements were in the bags as well including plenty of napkins, straws for drinks, dipping sauces for nuggets, etc.
Definitely enjoyed the experience here, and we will stop by again I'm sure in the future.

I'm just now leaving the store and I HAD to leave a review. I have NEVERRR been to a McDonald's where everyone is so nice and welcoming. Whole environment was incredible!! I told them they all needed to come to Goldsboro. 😂

Yo Fred you should really get this store up and running with everything working. Grills down shake machine still down. Everytime I goto the Clayton mcds it's a joy. But this being your first mcds you shouldn't abandon her.

Went through around 12:30 pm and they were some of the nicest and most respectful people in drive thru I've seen in a long time. The food was hot and fresh and actually tasted good. I hope they keep up the great work!

I downloaded the app which was great and easy I got my order from the drive through and went home to realize that it wasn't what I ordered. I wasn't happy cuz I was really hungry. Other than that I don't have any complaints.

This was a 3-star experience, but I feel like on another day, this would have been better. The good: friendly employees, fully staffed, festive decorations, pretty clean. The bad: they have a system where you can order at a kiosk, which I did, and no one ever gave us our drinks. Further, since it was Sunday lunch and they were slammed, no one was particularly interested in fixing this. Worst of all, no one ever made our Oreo McFlurry and we didn't realize until we already left. I would return, since clean and friendly is rare for McDonald's, but I would check my receipt before leaving the counter.
