The Hideaway

Happen to drive by one day and see a sign for all you can eat smelt. Something you seldom see, especially now days. Myself, my wife, and another couple decided we wanted to try it. After all we all loved smelt. We weren't disappointed! While small, and nothing fancy, our food was served timely and hot. Smelt was butterflied, lightly breaded and most noticeably, not oily or greasy. 3 of us had the smelt one had the perch. The waitress was pleasant and on top of taking care of our table. While it was a drive for us, we live in New Berlin, our friends are local. For all you can eat smelt, we'll be back!

I was really caught off guard, as we were like the only ones there for breakfast, and food came too quick for a fresh cooked breakfast. we had scrambled eggs that were over cooked/or not stirred up frequent enough, sausages didnt taste fresh and topped with a fuzzy hair, hashbrowns had consistancy that of hash browns sprinkled over mashed potatoes, jelly at table is old, and ya the flies were annoying. room for improvments but waitress was sweet, no offense to the owner, but i would hire a cook. I would love a future visit and the oppertunity to leave a better review and support our local buisnesses.

We come here as much as we can! Mainly just the weekends for breakfast. We love to support the local people. The food is OUTSTANDING. and I absolutely love the way they make their hashbrowns! Its different from most restaurants. Soft and hot in the middle with a crunch on the outside! Perfect Great people with a great attitude 👍
