Subway

If you stick to the base sandwiches this is actually pretty cheap and good value (S$5.5 for one of the base sandwich with a drink) and one of the rare place to have fresh veggies in the heartland. However the fancier options are not worth it as the breads and meats are not very good quality. And all the breads taste pretty much the same and have the same soft texture.

As a student, Subway presents a relatively affordable option for lunch especially with their attractive student meals. The sandwich artists are also very friendly and approachable, each time I order a sandwich, they patiently explain the different between each type of bread when I ask them. Although admittedly, in my head it is simply a game of "eeny meeny miny moe" as my taste buds fail to detect the subtle insignificant difference between each type of bread. The customisation part is my favourite as I am a picky eater that absolutely hates pickles. Overall, Subway leaves a pleasant experience. Subway is one of those places where it's really conducive to study and definitely one of the fast food restaurants that offer healthier food. To me the best part about subway is its offer of various vegetables. Being able to taste the crunchiness and freshness of my favorite vegetables in every bite of the deliciously wrapped sandwich is just perfect. Not to forget, those chewy and mouth-watering cookies! My fav flavor would be the oatmeal raisin as the oats give a chewy sensation accompanied with a burst of sweetness from the raisins. Subway would be a good place for you if you want a healthy and fuss-free meal at cheaper prices!
