Amazing find. We had been wandering around town looking for somewhere to eat, but so many places were too busy or closed, so tried this place and oh wow, how happy we were! The staff were superb, answering any questions we had with a smile and a laugh. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. I can't think of any flaws. Will definitely be visiting again!

Great lunch. Saw Dish of the day on social media. Really nice. Well worth the trip and prices were good. Tables were clean. Thank you to Jonny for the really attentive table service... one of the good guys. Heard him offering to charge someone's phone as they were waiting for news of their daughters labour. That's a nice thing to do.

We came here four of us for lunch after wandering around town. The staff were welcoming and friendly, I had the lunchtime special chicken and parma ham wrap, and a portion of chips, the kids had sweet and sour tofu, and chicken mayo wrap, both ordered chips. And my partner had the burger and chips from the lunch menu also. Only 3 soft drinks too and the total meal cost was nearly £60 so I'd say it by far is not the cheapest of places to eat, but the food was really nice. Would be better if, for example, the wrap I had would have come with chips rather than having to order them separate or the sweet and sour tofu would have come with a side included. But if you don't mind the price then it's certainly a great restaurant. The staff are attentive with great service and the food was nicely cooked so all in all we enjoyed it.

Came to HOTRS on Friday 13th May with a table of 14 waiting for us as we had booked a work evening out. Greeted politely at the door. Shown to the table and asked if we wanted drinks pretty quickly. We had the Wave menu. With an allergy of fish and a vegetarian in the group, we had a fantastic range within the starter, a main veggie wave, a main meat wave and dessert. Drinks were made and served quickly. Food was brought out and cleaned away in a timely manner. There was plenty of stuff I’d never tried before so was pleasantly surprised by the variations. It was like a tapas style set up where there were plentiful little dishes that we could take from and add to our plates. Food was very flavourful, and the drinks (mostly cocktails) were well made. I cannot comment on value for money as work arranged it, but all in all it was a good experience. Lastly the staff were very accommodating, happy to help and seemed to be in good spirits throughout the night. I would recommend. Ps I’m your 600th review! 🙌🏼

Amazing food and super friendly staff! This has been my first experience of this restaurant and from the moment we entered we were warmly greeted by the excellent staff. With a brilliant wine menu and incredible food, I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for good food in a smart, relaxed atmosphere.

HOTRS has never disappointed us and tonight was no different. We went there for a special birthday and from the moment they sat 9 of us down we enjoyed every minute. The drinks and cocktails are really good and the food is superb. The katsu curry here is really worth the trip. The moment you smell that distinctive smell of it , going to other tables, you can't wait to get yours. The halloumi is divine! I'm not sure what the sauce I it comes in but it works....really works!! The staff by and large are fantastic. Helpful, positive and smiley. Yes the music is louder than perhaps it should be for a restaurant, but that doesn't spoil the night or the experience. Will absolutely be back.....again 👌🏻

Smart interior and very attentive friendly staff, however the price of the food here is extortionate for such small portions. They advise you to order three different plates in tapas style but each plate is priced near to what it would cost normally as a full portion. I was left hungry for the same price I could have had a high quality filling meal elsewhere. Good vegan options were available but not enough vegan and gluten free combined choices.
