Exeter Hotel

What a great experience! Nicole, Alana and the team were wonderful. The hotel has been beautifully renovated and the rooms are clean, fresh and modern. Its in a brilliant location, close to shops and the beach. The food is delicious and priced well and the service from the staff is exceptional. We're already looking forward to our next stay.

I had a meat pie, chips, peas and gravy. I am definitely going back. My two friends ate the same. We are going back next week. The service was excellent. The staff are very friendly. The Exeter at Semaphore is very clean. Nice atmosphere. There is a smokers part out the back. When I go back I'll take 📸 photos. Sorry I forgot. The pie was just too good.

This place has sadly gone downhill. A couple years ago this was a place my family loved coming to as even if they were having an off night with food the service would always be warm & welcoming. However last weekend (24/7) we had a terrible experience. A group of 10 and all our meals came out at vastly different times. Half the table had finished eating by the time the last two meals came. My partner is a coeliac and made specific requests not to have chips with her meal and for them to be subbed with mash potato. This was completely ignored by the kitchen and meant she was barely able to eat any of her meal. The waitress she first complained to said something along the lines of 'sorry yeah this has happened before'. The guy who took the order was more interested in coming over to apologise and pass the blame to someone else. A final complaint - the waitresses bringing the meals to the table practically just dumped /slid the plates on the table with no hospitality whatsoever. When bringing out a takeaway container for my dads meal the waitress threw it in front of him.

Currently staying here atm and really disappointed with the service. We walked in to the gaming area, where we were greeted by a lady who told us to wait. Another lady came out with a very rude attitude and then attended to another person while she was talking to us. We then had to change rooms as the room she put us in smelt like the toilet literally even she said it. We went down stairs buy some drinks and again the lady that served us hadn't even taken our money before walking off again talking to another customer. Over all disappointed, but happy with the room they've replaced us with.

Great food and great service. Clean dining area and quick to bring out meals. Dinner rolls provided and they have drink and dinner specials on, with a lot of variety. Great amount of pescatarian options, pirate life on tap and a big call out to ALL THE STAFF, especially Brett who was a shining light after a rough day. Thankyou Brett and the team for helping to make my hubbys birthday better than it would've been without your fab attitudes. Garlic prawns and the seafood duo both great.
