Safeway

Great place for groceries. Typical grocery store. If you're looking for food, it's here. Anything you need to buy food related, they have. The aisles are well organized and clean. The bakery and meat sections are clean and tidy. The restrooms are not the cleanest though. Overall, a good place to grab whatever food or snack you need. If you're looking for a clean bathroom, it's not here.

The sushi guy followed me to the out asking if I was going to pay for my food. I told him I had already paid. My items weren't bagged because I only had 2 things. Anyway, the sushi was old I couldn't tell because there was sauce on top but when I took it apart the veggies were definitely old and tasted soggy. Gross 🤢

This location is pretty good. Far enough away from the busy "downtown" of Sedona to get away from most traffic. Well-stocked in the booze dept as well as having deli, bakery, fish markets. Great selection of produce. Parking is pretty good but can be somewhat congested. Visiting earlier in the day or later at night is best for less congestion in and out of the store.

This Safeway is on par with Walmart, in the earlier hours of the morning. Expect stock and boxes everywhere, blocked aisles, and a 50/50 chance of getting a surly employee who desires to be left alone by you. I waited 6 minutes for a cashier to show this morning, so I could checkout. I don't think it's in this state later in the day, but it's a zoo in the early hours, and poorly managed.

While on vacation in Sedona, we wanted food for our fridge. We wanted fast food, but didn't want FF restaurants and didn't want to cook. We stopped at this Safeway and found their deli well stocked with several pre-made dishes. We especially loved the BBQ chicken cooked in habenero and mango sauce. The deli guy was professional and eager to assist.

My family lives in Arizona and decided to spend some time together in Sedona. I needed to get some groceries and decided to shop at Safeway. I walked up to one of the female workers there and asked where the bacon is. She hatefully responded, “the bacon?!! It’s along the back wall!!“ as if I should know that. Then when I went to the self checkout and began ringing my groceries the cashier walks over and asks me if I rang my Kleenexes. She checks the screen and sees that I did in fact ring the Kleenexes. I offered for her to check my items and she declined. So I continue to ring my items, scanned the allergy visine and tossed it in the bag when an error message popped up on the screen. The cashier comes over and pulls the visine out and called off the other items in the bag and re-rings the visine. Okay, no problem. It’s when she stood directly across from me and watched me like a hawk until I finished and paid. I’m not a thief. I have a conscience, believe in God and don’t believe in stealing. I had plenty of money to buy those groceries and lots more if I wanted to. This cashier made me feel extremely uncomfortable. They must have an inventory problem there. I’ll never go back.
