A pho and Vietnamese sandwich shop with you standard options, plus they have a small size, which I love because I can not handle that much soup. Efficient and friendly, nice calm dark atmosphere.

I was worried as not a single soul but myself was dining here, but relieved as the food was downright delicious. They even add a little cream puff for desert! Yay!

Favorite Pho place in the U-District by far, maybe even in Seattle. Nice clean, flavorful broth! And like a lot of other Pho places, it's not humid as hell. Lol

Local favorite, feels very authentic with busy staff and cramped space. Food made right in front of you. Cash only, popular with students. Their 5/5 spicy is not that hot, very edible but you will be sweating. Would go back.

We believe a single couple runs this place and they do great job managing one of the busiest pho spots in the Ave. Lunch time gets busy, but other times it's a quiet place to enjoy a long meal and catch up with friends.

Have tried multiple pho places on University Way and this one has been my favorite by far. My boyfriend has been eating here for 6 years (and I've been eating here for 3 years) and the quality of food has stayed delicious, while the prices stay affordable. The service is quick and they even remember my boyfriend's and my order whenever we go in.

The owners and staff are always very friendly whenever I go in. Some reviews say there is poor service, but really they just don't pester you like a lot of places do. This is by far the best place on the Ave for Pho.

Good Pho on the "Ave", Popular with local college crowd. Been here quite a few times. Staff lets you keep to yourself, which, for me isn't a bad thing because its tailored for solo eating or keeping in your own groups. Quick service.

The service at Pho Thy Thy is minimal - but most people don't go to pho for the service. There pho is traditional, consistent and delicious. And it's probably some of the more inexpensive pho in Seattle. Great reliable place!

Service is super fast usually. We get our bowls within 5min of ordering, or quicker. Owner recognized us after awhile and was always friendly. They have additional/new waitresses now who are alright. The pho is pretty good - not the very best, but pretty good!

Very tasty pho. Broth is delicious and not too salty. I recommend the #10. They open earlier than the other pho establishments in the Ave so it's great for breakfast. If you are expecting stellar service you may be disappointed. But the pho is great!

I personally think this is the best pho place on the ave. It's clean not stuffy as the other ones up the street. Staff are very prompt. And the pho is terrific.

The first place I ever had pho! Love the place, it's more home-y and spacious than some of the other pho places on the ve. It's always my first stop for pho on the Ave and I only move onto the next pho place if this one is too crowded.

Great Pho. Iv'e been to this restaurant three times already. The pho is great, to the level of phenomenal but I would have to say my best experience would be my first. The first time I went the service was good as well as the food and there were no troubles. However, I recently went again and the experience is completely different.

At the time I was with my friend who is an Asian guy while I am a white woman so I stood out a bit. Usually when you first walk in you are handed the bean sprouts and other ingredients to put in your pho along with the puff pastry but that was not the case with us. After looking at the sizes of the bowls we decided to simply share an extra large (being more cost-effective). The waiter shortly came to take our order and we asked for an extra large #15 (All the meat) with two bowls. After a couple of minutes he brought the plate with the sprouts and basil and one cream puff and handed it directly to my friend. I laughed a bit that he had only brought one cream puff since there were two of us here and that on the sign outside it had advertised for a free cream puff.

Afterwards the waiter came back with the extra large bowl and placed it once again...in front of my friend. We then proceeded to ask for the bowls to share and the waiter spoke to us in English and Vietnamese and then went into the back for a couple of minutes. We then went back to our seats and waited a little longer until the original waiter brought back one bowl, not the two we had been asking for. Regardless we decided to make do with the giant bowl and the bowl he had given us. That was odd though since so many places are okay with sharing dishes. Upon sanctioning the pho we realized this what not what we had ordered. This was with only one type of meat but the #15 we had ordered had 5 different types of meat. So once again we went and told the waiter and waited. He later came back with a very small dish containing the other types of meat. Personally he should have just taken the bowl back and then added the remaining meat instead of just placed it in-front of us. Now there were four different types of meat but we didn't bother with the hassle.

Meanwhile, as we were eating our pho from very different bowl sizes or waters had not been refilled once. Also, each previous time we had needed something we had to go to the waiter ourselves and not once did he ask how everything was. I understand that it is a small establishment but it is absurd to continuously have to go to the waiter yourself and ask for water.

Additionally I was starting to wonder whether they were treating their customers on a bias. Each time we needed something the waiter would always go to my friend first or offer everything to my friend. At first I thought it had been just based upon gender but I wondered if race played any role as well. When a group (male) came in, I saw that the Asians were always served before the whites in the party. Also when a couple walked in the same thing happened with the man and woman. At first my friend thought I was being dramatic but he saw it too especially when a group of UW Asians came in and the owner (for the first time in that session) immediately got up and ran to get them all waters. These differences were not too obvious with race in particular. At this point I was getting upset since so much of our meal had been hectic and the waiter had given everything we had asked for to my male, Asian friend.

What made me change my mind a little about this restaurant was that there was one waiter who came later. He brought everyone who came in cream puffs and the herb/veggie tray before they had even ordered. He also filled up our waters while our original waiter was no where to be seen. Overall this is a great establishment, the prices are still semi-low despite a small increase. It honestly depends who you have as the waiter. The pho is great and in reality that is what matters most.

Best Beef Pho ANYWHERE!!. Our group of 6 adults and 3 children visited Pho Thy Thy based on Urbanspoon's recommendation and it was marvelous! Most of us got the beef brisket and we all agreed it was the most tender, lean and generous beef portions we've had in pho anywhere. The soup base is addictively good, the noodles are tender and abundant and the cream puffs were a delightful surprise for the kids. The setting is very average, but we enjoyed the food very much in a family-friendly setting. 5-star Pho in a 2 or 3 star setting. Fantastic.

Huge portions for cheap, and it was really good too! I've been craving Pho for a few days now and this place does not dissapoint. Of course, the service leaves a bit to be desired. The cream puff that they give you at the beginning is a nice addition. Fairly large portions of meat, and extra for a buck.

Sometimes these pho places are a little silly in their similarity. I know I can scroll down the menu and find my favorite combination, the one with all the meats, down at number 14 or 15. The pricing’s similar, and there are those ubiquitous cream puffs a
