Kate's Pub

Kates was my neighborhood pub for almost 10 years when I lived in Seattle so I was thrilled at the opportunity to stop in here and have dinner with the friend. The atmosphere is always laid back and there's always a busy buzz of people coming in and out especially when University of Washington is in session. I appreciate the free pool table, cheap food, great drinks, and amazing staff that make Kate's a neighborhooid staple in Wallingford.

It was really fun. The waitress/bartender was really nice, they had board games that we could play, and we were only going there for a drink and a snack, but found out they were having karaoke that night, so we ended up staying and doing karaoke. And spending a ton more money. But it was worth it. The coconut drink, can't remember the name, but it was SO GOOD!!!

If you want to go eat somewhere where they care about you, come to Kate’s. Maybe they recognized me, maybe they didn’t, but regardless I felt seen and respected. This is the neighborhood get together spot. People come here to make lifelong friends. One time I was there, I saw this nice server cleaning up drinks and plates, it was KATE. These people, they care about you. They do what it takes. The honey mustard, they churn that out by hand in the back. Those drinks taste like juice but they hit hard. In a good way. Someone left a review about the onion rings not being good anymore, I have to disagree. I tried them a couple days ago, they were so delicious and perfectly crispy on the outside, nice and soft flavorful onion on the inside. You would think that an onion ring would just taste the same everywhere you go, but this was elevated. And that’s how the food feels at Kate’s, elevated. Maybe come in and try it for yourself. Maybe you will like.

Attending my friend's recent wedding party at this venue was an absolute delight! From start to finish, every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectations. The exceptional service provided by the staff truly made the event memorable. They were attentive and kept us well-informed about the delicious food options, such as timely refills and last call announcements. Speaking of the food, it was simply outstanding! Each bite was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more. The culinary skills showcased by the chef were commendable, and it was evident that great care had been taken in preparing every dish. The staff promptly cleared away dirty plates, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the festivities without any inconvenience. Now, let's talk about the drinks – they were absolutely fantastic! I treated myself to a Peach-O and a Pink Starburst, and they were both incredibly delicious. The mixologists at the bar truly know their craft and served up refreshing and tantalizing concoctions. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this venue as a fun and lively place to host any special occasion. With its attentive staff, mouthwatering food, and impressive drink selections, it's sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits. Make sure to visit soon and create your own unforgettable memories!

Kate's Pub has been an ongoing special spot for us and our friends for many years, so when my husband and I wanted to throw a post-wedding party we hit up Kate to see if that's something she'd be open to. We ended up renting out the pub for a party of 80-90, and everyone returning and new folks alike, had a phenomenal experience. Paco and Alfredo went above and beyond with the absolutely delicious food, while Taylor and Austin worked the bar like no tomorrow and cranked out the best drinks. Kate was amazing to work with from beginning to end and was such a gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed and took such good care of us. Many in our group who had never been to Kate's before have let me know they'll be coming back because they loved the food/drinks and vibe of the place so much, and said the staff were incredibly friendly and fun. This place is such a gem - from the staff, to the food & drinks - 20/10, will 100% continue to come again. Thanks for being such a special place for us.

Music was great. Went on Sunday so got the all day happy hour deals on snacks. The portions were great. Cocktails were also awesome. Didn't really enjoy the new burrito and the veggie pita as it was bland for me and my partner's taste but overall good experience and good vibe. Will go again that's fosho.
