Wow, the service was great, loved the vibe, but not a fan of the uneven picnic table tops because we kept spilling or nearly. I was so excited about this place because it's obviously made with love but it just didn't have enough balance for me to say anything we tried was something that would stick with us or have us come again. I loved the ambitious fusion of everything but it just didn't seem to hit right and it was very carb heavy where I was hoping for some more vegetables to go with things. I really wanted to try the dessert but the meal itself just wasn't enough to promise that I'd be excited about it so we skipped it. That's not a thing for me usually.

Absolutely loved the food here. The owner still runs the place after 30+ years and brings the same energy to every table. We with the owners recommendation and it was amazing. The kind of innovation with very old ingredients from India that are forgotten is just mind blowing. I didn't like the dessert as I don't like artificial sweeteners taste. Definitely recommend.

⚠️ Be ready to 🔥 your cash 💸💸 One of the priciest restaurants where quantity doesn't justify the price. Taste and food presentation was first class. Their soup came with paratha and that paratha seemed like it was homemade and fresh 👌. Mushroom appetizer was flavorful and tasty. Shrimp appetizer was cilantro flavored and was ok. Jamaican jerk chicken with rice was good and was a tad tangy. Jerk chicken enchilada was so cheesy. The Italian fusion spinach fettuccini pasta looked healthy and was a good try. Mango lassi was so delightful and fresh.

I think the first time I stepped into Avatar's was more than a decade ago. Since then I have left the Bay Area but whenever I am back, I try to make sure I stop by. The quality and creativity you see with every dish has been consistently high in my experience from that first time I got to sample Avatar's offerings. The flexibility is great too - whatever you want, they will create for you. Go check it out if you haven't - you'll enjoy it!

Came here after a nice day out in the Marin. Good: - Superb service - what a kind staff here! - Food came out SO QUICKLY - it was honestly so impressive how quickly they were able to bring out each entree as soon as we ordered. - The mango lassi here was incredible - really good pair with the mild spicy food - The best samosas I've had in a while - the texture of each bite was impeccable - The enchilada was so so tasty and the sauce it came with was really good - Tasty soup and paratha - loved just picking and eating at the paratha Bad: - Wasn't a big fan of the chicken curry - it was a bit dry and also really just chunky - More of a causal ambiance so nothing special about the interior design Overall this was a great place to go and so happy we found this on Instagram reels!
