Was amazing, great service, delicious food, cowbell tasting 😋 I had the pot roast (fall apart it was so tender), mashed potatoes and gravy, beans.. rice pudding for dessert. Yum!

Have gone for breakfast. Home fries aren't cooked long enough for my taste, just basic potatoes. They only serve Canadian bacon, would love to have the choice. Eggs and toast are made just as good at home.
Decent but not worth going out for. Eager to try some of their lunch or dinner specials.
Staff seem to be great.

Amazing service with our server. She was very attentive and gave great idea for our meals whuch were were tasty and fresh. This restaurant has never failed us even though John has passed the restaurant to the next family in line.

Good food and service. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Update for 2022: you can now substitute Just Egg (plant based egg) in any egg dish for a small charge. This is awesome!

This is not the first time this has happened. The potatoes were drenched in oil. I lifted my plate and put a knife under it and as you can see the oil pooled to one side of the plate. I asked the waitress if she would eat it and she said no. Then why serve it to me?

I had a great meal here with my family. The food was tasty and lots of it. We had an issue with one meal, spoke with the wait staff and got a replacement meal right away. I can see why John's has been in business for so long. Keep up the good work !!

The servers were friendly and efficient but I was very disappointed in the food. I had the eggs Benedict with hash browns and a side of fruit. The food lacked flavour and salt. There was no crispy to the hash browns. The bowl of fruit was frozen melons. I was expecting a bowl of fresh fruit and the melon wasn’t even completely thawed. I could not even eat it and they charged $3. The coffee was weak and overall I was very dissatisfied with the food. Will not go back

Awesome family place to eat. Very clean indoor and out door eating and they have takeout also. The food is excellent very good. The waiters and waitresses were kind. I love this place.
