Had a very bumpy start to our trip so much so first night of a romantic getaway was ruined due to a broken thermostat in our room other equipment in the room that was not working and a maintenance man who seem to have disappeared for the night while we waited for hours for our issues to be fixed. We were also lied to by hotel staff during the evening. But still giving this hotel a 3 because Ronnie the bellmen and one of the front desk women went above and beyond in helping us get back on track. The engineering department did give us our first night free the hotel management also took a little off the rest of our stay and to be quite honest the new room, the food and the hotel itself were all quite wonderful. We do luxury travel all around the world, and I do have to say not so sure this hotel commands the price they charge but it is in a very nice location if you are looking to stay by the square in Santa Fe. The restaurant in this hotel is very good as well. As for as the staff I would say 70% of them were lovely, warm, and welcoming and the other to 30% seem to have difficulty in those areas. We really loved the fireplaces in our rooms quite a nice touch especially since we were there mid January. The beds were wonderfully comfortable as well.

We decided to go to Rosewood for a cocktail after a lovely dinner at Horno. Unfortunately we were met with an unpleasant encounter. When we arrived the bartender informed us that he could only serve one drink (per person) as it was going to be "last call". We had no problem with this as we only wanted one drink. Upon receiving our drinks the bartender started cleaning aggressively, so much that we asked to pay and move into an area that he wasn't cleaning in. We asked the manager if we could finish out drink in the lobby. His response was that the lobby was only for hotel guests. However, he could move us into the restaurant to finish our drinks. He asked for details about the bartender and told us " he needed info and details on the bartender ". In all honesty, the manager wasn't any better than the bartender. The restaurant/bar is such a beautiful place and it's unfortunate that a Rosewood property has this type of service. I want to point out that situation occurred between 8:30pm and 9pm, so it's not like we were there at 1am. I do not plan on going back, nor will I recommend this establishment to any guests or friends.
